  1. Congratulations on your well deserved trophies. I missed this build in 2014 so I'm glad that it was bumped with this update. Where is the snow track from?
  2. Ok, be warned of orbital trauma by viewing these pictures. I have no idea where the wheels went and some of it has fallen apart since assembly. http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_boxart_zpszr141v3o.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_t_zpsc8efvzgs.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_r_zpsf1g2sjgl.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_f_zpsdmfdgo2n.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_rh_zpst8calp8p.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t357/Bogyoke/models/GMC_General_fl_zpsgczki4qc.jpg thanks for looking
  3. Hi Ben, I dug that old model out and took some pictures. I guess it's more "road warrior / post apoc / technical" than militarized. Want to see them here in your thread or in PM?
  4. The front and rear, Euro/Asian license plate frame part receptacle cavities of the body needed filling and reshaping. ^ Rear ^ v Front v I accidentally sanded out the front tow hook cap detail. I had to make a tool from an old sable brush by boring out with a sharp drill bit. Then pressing into front bumper location to replicate that detail again.
  5. Happy New Year. Sorry for delayed reply. I don't have a photo right now but if I dig it out of mothballs, I can take a few if you want.
  6. Great futuristic design. I could put rail wheels under this thing and make a 1/35 what-if Loco.
  7. Haha yes! Are you kidding me, this is so bad**s ! As already mentioned, the mini body is perfect for this project.
  8. The engine compartment detailing is outstanding.
  9. Creative conversion project. The only 1/32 tractor I've built was an old Monogram snap-tite kit and I militarized it.
  10. Awesome project, man.
  11. Incredible paint on this. The subtle washes really pop the details.
  12. I like this personalized project. Yes, go for it and I'll be checking in after the new year then.
  13. ah, that's why it doesn't look like any grille on the interwebs that I've been searching. Short answer, no, I'm not going to scratch build a new grille for it. I'll use the kit supplied part as is. So, is this part for the European or African or Asian Grandeur?
  14. Thanks for checking in and your comments. Americanize the grille insert? Do you mean the chrome grille part?
  15. I sanded off the molded in mud guards.
  16. Thanks for sharing the WIP pics of the hinges. Good clean work.
  17. This Academy kit is very well designed for a snap together. Most painting can be done while on the sprues because each gate point will be hidden after assembly. The snap assembly points are very solid. It reminds me of how some die-cast cars are put together.
  18. Thanks. I'll try to finish the dash board and steering wheel protection plastic tonight.
  19. Progress continues... I know I know, the following will all make sense later. Plastic wrap and protection in all it's appropriate places. thanks for looking...
  20. Very well done. How did you make the grille detail?
  21. Following this build. It's going to be good.
  22. Interior going together with detail painting and decals. Rear seats are painted then detailed with a fine tip pen then drybrushed to get visual depth before wrapping with plastic The gear shifter was relocated to the left. The kit has this in the center of the console but it is not on the 1/1. Dash details are painted. All displays are painted like they are off (power off). The dash speedometer cluster are kit supplied decals. I installed these water slide decals as per instructions but they would not stick to location. I had to "glue" them down in place with Kristal Klear. After this cured I followed with layers of Smoke acrylic to achieve an OFF status. Then thin layers of Kristal Klear were filled in to make the cluster lens.
  23. Hi Ben, The seats in this kit weren't hollow but they had a strange tab that stuck out the back which I filed down smooth.
