  1. I'd like one of those for my daily driver... but It'd have to include a free gas card! lol I really like it
  2. wow pretty amazing! I have always loved model anythings... just small scale replicas are so cool
  3. *** GAS GUZZLER TAX *** $1,300 thats a few months worth of gas $! wow... apparently it's fuel efficiency is so low it costs you before you even start it
  4. hmmm I think it's a model too
  5. lol I actually thought about asking that but i was just waiting to see how it turned out first but you beat me to it so kudos
  6. !!!! amazing and i think the hatch should go all the way down plus it gives it more of a complex look like it was meant to be that way rather than just the window as a hatch just my 2 cents, Bobby W. Oh and I got your PM thanks for your input .. now that the forsale sign thing was brought up i may go get a couple and try to find some putty around local (no LHS and too impatient to wait for an order at the moment) Idk what I'll make..... I sure hate the idea of hacking into something so I'll probably actually end up looking for just a body for now
  7. Really is that all that styrene is, the type of material those signs are? cool
  8. sweet I love the bmws from that year style maybe not the compact so much but it is still cool
  9. Lol I'm scared to see what monster I woud make after hacking up a model .. it wouldn't be pretty... although the deathrace thing almost made me try to do some custom work... but I'm honestly terrible at painting otherwise I could probably get the hang of custom stuff... I really was wanting to join up with the deathrace build just for fun but didn't find styrene and stuff at H.L. so I ended up not picking up a spare model to do a build.. I don't want to hijack your thread so I'll go play with the search button for tips on tools and supplies =P again i can't wait to see this complete.. idk why it excites me so much I have always been a fan of mustangs and I love hatchbacks and your wagon mustang is going to be awesome .. like my dream ride.. in an odd way.. lol
  10. I have tinkered with models as a little kid (usually the already painted ones or someone would paint them for me) but now that im back into it I cant just work on one model.. I get bored and I currently have 6 models and none completed but 2 of them I'm for sure going to be doing because my grandpa who passed away bought them for me for christmas and have been in a box ever since... when I decided to start doing models again I happened to find them in a box and now that Im thinking about it I think I'm going to go work on one of them... =) but yeah.. if i just had to work on one model I'd go crazy... my grandma started bugging me when she seen them (i brought them in from storage since I'm back in missouri and staying living with my dad but im over here when he's at work) .. she said "why do you need so many why isnt one enough" and i told her b/c i cant work on one at a time and she looked at me like i was crazy haha
  11. sweet thats cool too and make the hatch the full hatch like that pic and wow I love the pic!!!! but i like your idea of rounding it even more!!! I see the potential for the perfect dream build...(i like very strange things lol..) If i had talent I would sure do one of my own keep us posted I can't wait!
  12. hatchback mustang?!?! or would it be a wagon.. i don't think it'd really be a wagon since it's a 2 door right? idk but I love the idea... design it and then give it to someone to make me a 1:1
  13. Well I just joined up on here not long ago and in my area there was not any hobby shops near me and I was having hard time finding stuff well.. things have been going on and now I'm 16 hours from where i was out in oklahoma/kansas (Liberal Kansas right now) and there are.... HOBBY SHOPS! lol.... im happy now.. b/c all of what little stuff I had got put in storage...so that sucked.. But then when i got here i seen a model plane box laying over on my stepdad's nightstand (he was already out here working) and then he handed me a plane from somwhere else and said it'd give me something to do... and I told him that I liked models but all my stuff is now in storage and he handed me a bag of brushes and glue and glue tips.. (in a hobby lobby bag) so I freaked out and asked where he had gotten the stuff (b/c he is on the road driving pretty far all the time) and he told me in liberal.. which is where we are moving into today which is a few miles away so I'll be having a shopping spree when i get in there!! haha
  14. they showed the '10 on Knight Rider tonight... meh.. it's okay .. but the back end is worse than before.
  15. I like the little added detail on the shifter
  16. I don't like it, when the first style came out on the basic rearend with the ugly tail lights I hated it more than the new rearend but I think the GT's had different stylings or some certain models did.. the few people I know of that have the new style of mustangs (not the '10) i know the rearends are ugly except on one of the GT's which looks a lot more old school... I'm a mustang person but honestly I haven't liked them much unless they were the full out modded gt's that were expensive they just never looked like the old style enough to be worth it.. I really do love the old school looking style of the Challenger though... the chargers are such a joke it's quite sad..
  17. hmm ditto, doesn't look like a real car or a model
  18. Yeah this one is very nice when completed I seen someone on here with the same kit completed I think box stock.. the only thing I'm doing different is making mine the Sublime green.. In a way I like it b/c it's simple.. but it's kind of too simple but thanks for the info on it being older tooling it's still very nice
  19. I have to say of the 5 models I have in front of me right now 4 being AMT and 1 being revell I like the AMT's better as far as details and such go... some of the instructions are very bland like only having the "stock" setup and having parts for the custom rod motor and the soft top in my coupe yet no where in the instructions does it mention it so im having to carefully pick out all the correct parts which was a pain at first but It's getting easier.. the thing i hate... the '71 Hemi 'Cuda (the revell)... as much as I like the car more than the cars I have in my amt sets (the cars in general) I have to say the model is terrible... it even says "69 pieces" this is going to be such a simple build it's a bit of a joke I hate the exhaust being modeled in and the motor not detailed well and basically not much to put together.... the AMT's I have have A LOT of random parts ...which I must say I like the revell since I'm just getting back into this so it's helping me get my feet wet on such a simple build
  20. It's looking so obvious that it is a model especially one main detail that stands out at me.... with that being said I voted real ... O.o this one is too easy it seems like a trick! ....then again that may be the trick is it seems like a trick.. there for I was tricked.... o.O
  21. That explains why I liked the book 100X more than the movie.. I was sitting there thinking "why in the world did King make it so much different than the book" I never knew he didn't have anything to do with it... it wasn't as good as his normal movies and I always wondered why he wasn't IN the movie. (most of you will know he always makes an appearance in his movies)
  22. Yeah should have been thrown out.. it's not fair to the other kids
  23. Well digging through boxes looking for parts to gather up and make a parts box I found a 71 Dodge Charger it's an "AMT" kitand has the R/t decals... All complete everything still on the plastic punch outs the only thing is the body was spray painted green along with the hood (I'm going to strip it)
  24. Ahh simple enough. I should have done that with my F100 since right now I'm fighting with it and will be doing a lot of touch ups b/c of having to trim things to fit. I can't wait to see your completion of this, really cool thing to decide to do
  25. My favorite book and I love the movie! Keep us updated I can't wait to see the finished product of the beat up christine 1 question (I'm new so excuse me) Do you have all of those pieces glued together ? (unpainted) Just curious if you have them temporarily stuck together with something (if so with what?) b/c isn't is hard to paint it like that?
