  1. i love it, my first car was a Mustang gia II
  2. Thanks Jarrod I just so happen to have one on me now.......A picture that is. I cleaned up the tunnel ram then gave it a light coat of primer. I do this to show any imperfections then i go back and work on them I see a few here that ill address now.
  3. Wow!! I weighed the parts for the motor and it came out to 3.65oz....thats a heavy model motor.
  4. Thanks fellas for your support ( which is much appreciated believe me) . Brad my fingers are like the fingers of a KunFu master who has honed his skill for 40+ years (lol Ive been waiting to use that one) lol... no blisters here Bro (now burnt fingers that's a different story) Chris: thanks for the link young bro, what size did you purchase? Well in my never ending serch to inprove my tunnel ram i added the nitrous ports this is where the actual nitrous nozzles with hook up, one on each side of the plentums (inside and out) so I started by drilling holes all the way through then i inserted small diameter tube into the holes just till the tip comes out on the inside then soldered it in place. it was then cut off and ground to the correct size.I also added two throttle linkage supports. most of it is cleaned up now and ready for paint (w)hich will happen after i get the weld beads. here you see the holds drilled thru the plentums. Here the smaller tubes have been soldered into place..... Here the tubes have been cut and shaved , I noticed the metal work have a gouge in it that needed to be filled so thats why you see the blob of solder on the side. (cant use bondo or putty on brass) it will be ground down and smoothed with jewlers files. Here the gouge has been fixed and the two throttle support brackets can be seen. just a little clean up needed,,,,, Thanks for joinin me see ya soon.....
  5. I have some updates for you later today but for now I have a question: Does anyone know where I can get those 3D weld seam decals???
  6. Ive heard of a 3d weld seam is there anyone who can tell me where i can purchase them???
  7. Brad Is it talent or am i truly krazy lol!!! Stan your wait is over thx for the compliment buddy and welcome to MCM forums Fellas I have a small update today I was able to re-build the heads I figured since there was so much flack about my heads when i first started them that they really need to stand out so I gutted them and built em right. Now they will have rockers, rods and springs. And now I will be able to show the car with or with out the heads. I hope you enjoy. heres the heads before i gutted them out. I built actual exhaust tubes running thru them........ gutted im only using the front and sides.... here the exhaust tubes are added..... heres one of the almost finished heads with a rocker i made i wont install the rockers and springs untill the heads are painted... heres the back ....... thx for joinin me see ya real soon.......
  8. ok heres another update for ya ..... I made the puke tank from several graduating sizes of tubing because i needed to make the tank tappered at the top so i got smaller and smaller tubes untill i had just what i needed. I then made two straps to hold it in place on the front of the motor. i added a piece to the bottom of the tank to make it a bit longer. I hope you enjoy. Started by soldering this two pieces together.... The tubes were stacked like this then soldered and covered with solder and shaped... here its been shaped and the neck has been added it will be cut and capped later... heres one of the straps. the tank before i made the cap...... the simi finished tank.... Thanks for joining me see ya again soon.....
  9. if you do motor in back with the blower scoop sittin up over the roof ...yeah this would be a kool build.
  10. Yes sir Danno ol' boy I have more..... and more....as a matter of fact I have a new update for ya. lol Today I made the timing pulley and an electric water pump. I started by soldering a brass tube to a scrap piece of brass sheet to make a cylinder, then it was drilled and a piece of small diameter rod was soldered into the hole. Ill use this to hold the part while i'm building. Then the tube will be cut to pulley size. and the rod will be trimmed off. theres the finished pulley then I pretty much started the water pump the same way. but then i had to make water ports for the pump i started by noching a square piece of tube , bend it in a 45 degree angle and solder it back together. the two pieces are then soldered to the cylinder. this is where the water pump with rest when finished..... Thanks for lookin in. see ya real soon.......
  11. Good Job on this project outstanding detail. Small suggestion try a different material for your chute cord it just doesn't do your build any justice
  12. Really nice job so far but i believe your lenco tranny is on sideways very nice job on the wheelie bars.
  13. Thanks Mitch...I do my best with the limited resources I have now. Shaun Just 10.5 secs heck i have a 67 chevelle thats a mid 10's car lol this is a pro mod we'll have to go faster than that lol! Jason Thanks for your compliment David G. again thank you for following Dave R. I plan to do just that. Ok fellas i have a small update today. I drilled the front of the engine block for the cam shaft , I also re-built the tunnel ram because i wasnt happy with the way the it was put together. heres some pics for ya hope you enjoy. first i drilled then soldered this tube in the hole..... then it was cut off and polished, the cam goes here and will connect to the timming belt. The tunnel ram had to be taken apart and drilled so i could insert smaller tubing to support the wider plentums it made everything more uniform and neat. here you see the smaller tubes that will support the larger ones the tunnel ram re-built and now im happy..... thanks for joining me see ya real soon.......
  14. Cop Out was the second model I ever built (42 years ago when I was 5) I dont remember my first model but i was allowed to pick my second one and I picked Cop Out. I plan to build one with a brass chassis in 1/16th scale as soon as i finish the ProMod im workin on now. Very nice job with your build keep up the good work.
  15. You are amazing Tyrone nuff said......
  16. hey fellas thanks for the sincere comments...... I was able to finish installing the pistons into the block all rods are connected and lubed. the crank is secured with brass bearings and i also started the oil pan. hope you enjoy the pics. looks a mess but thats from the corrosion I treated all the moving parts with axel greese and there will be oil in the oil pan. here you can see the bearings i made on the ends of the crank shaft and you can see the rods connected to the crank. Heres the ruff oil pan please keep im mind that everything you see is a work in progress in no way is any of this finished. here one with the motor sittin on the pan... thanks for veiwing see ya real soon.....
  17. Chris this build just gets better and better, you my friend are a maniac (meant in the best way possible) i cant wait to see it in person. keep up the outstanding effort bro.
  18. Wow Scott i had to go back and check this out again. All i can say is Most Impressive! Is the wheel you designed available in 1/16th scale also? keep up the outstanding work bro.
  19. I made the second half of the bearings for the journals to hold the crank in place all of this will be left raw (unpainted) so it wont stick each piston has to be connected to the crank shaft and soldered together in place. so to answer the question asked so long ago , Yes this motor will have working (moving) pistons. I wanted to show you the end of the piston opened up so it can be placed on the crank , rebent, and soldered back together piston on the end isn't set yet...... see ya soon.......
  20. ok i build the arms and attached them to the pistons. I had documented it all for you but my browser took a dump on me and to be honest i dont feel like retyping all the measurements and stuff sorry hope you enjoy the pics tho.... Thanks for joinin me see ya again soon real soon...
  21. Thanks fellas for the compliments....... I remembered someone asking me a while back " if this would be the motor with the working pistons?" I didn't answer because i didn't want to make pistons. Now that sat on my head like a challenge......" I have to do it" i told myself. So i'm gonna let you in on what Ive been doin today. enjoy I started by soldering a thin piece of sheet brass to a 3.44 mm brass tube to form a closed cylinder. which will then be cut off at 0.115mm to make the piston head. Ill then drill and polish it. piston head fitted with the swivel for the rod. im not done yet be back with more.......
  22. Amazing John I cant say anything that hasn't already been said....
  23. Hey fellas its been really hard gettin back to work on this project but im finally gettin back to it now. Im not sure if ill be documenting this build anymore but i will show any progress I make on it. Anyway I built this seat from the photo etched brass racing seat sold by Dirt Modeller, I covered it with carbon decal added the cushion and made the belts from medical tape. i hope you enjoy.
