  1. Nice job, George. How'd you cobble up the car-tisserie? Charlie Larkin
  2. It's not beyond reason to do if the urge strikes. And the space can be found. Charlie Larkin
  3. Kevin, and Tom, This is a beautifully-done product. Between Tom's superlative conversion skills and Kevin's expert molding, this is going to be a great product. A fantastic collaboration for you both. Right now, money is very tight, and became unexpectedly even more so in the last couple of days, but I have every intention of getting one of these as soon as I have the money. For anyone wondering- go ahead and buy. You will not be disappointed! Kevin makes great products and is a fantastic guy to deal with. And just a nice guy to boot. Charlie Larkin
  4. That's why most dealers had paint shops or contracts with local body shops. Although a factory-finished car would have been a solid color, you can be pretty sure that at least one or two ended up getting contrasting coves once delivered. Charlie Larkin
  5. Nice job on that. Charlie Larkin
  6. Nice job with the accident damage. Mass State Police still uses the Sam Brown belt, I think. Perhaps it would be nice to have some newer police/fire figures on the market. Charlie Larkin
  7. Hang the size! They do this in 1/25th, I'm on it as soon as budget allows. I'll worry about display space later. I might grab the HO one though just because. And some Alloy Forms and Jordan kits to go along with it. Charlie Larkin
  8. Danny, you are one of the few modelers that TRULY deserves the honorific of "artist." Stunning. Simply stunning. Charlie Larkin
  9. Great weathering. Those trucks look like they've been there for ages. Very nicely done. Charlie Larkin
  10. Danny, that is simply amazing. What did you use for the the weeds? I really wish I could make NNL this year, unfortunately I won't be able to. I hope you come back next year, and I hope that makes an encore appearance. I'd love to see it first-hand. Charlie Larkin
  11. That came out very nicely, Blair. I especially like the sign. Charlie Larkin
  12. That looks great, Tom. Nice, shiny black paint. Charlie Larkin
  13. Very nice. Charlie Larkin
  14. I would caution against using this machine if a part is going to require long-term stability. PLA is poly-lactic acid, also known as "corn-starch" plastic, which as the name suggests, is derived from corn-starch. PLA is good for short-term projects because it's purposely engineered to be bio/UV-degradable. It also is not paint-friendly from the reading I've done. This machine would probably be best suited to prototyping and masters for molds. Charlie Larkin
  15. Credible so far. Charlie Larkin
  16. Gee, I missed this before. That came out nicely. Too bad Ford didn't do the Fairlane convertible from the factory, it looks good like that. Charlie Larkin
  17. Personally, I'd skip the stripes in the supplied decal sheet and do something either created with white decal paper or leave it untouched. It's nice and clean without all the extra graphics. That's a great color. I remember that shade on a lot of F-bodies. Charlie Larkin
  18. Second from the right. Jan. 11, 2013 at the Sheraton Commander, Cambridge, Ma. Taken by my friend George with my trusty Pentax SF-10 and 400-speed Kodak UltraMax. Digital? We don't need no stinkin' digital... Charlie Larkin
  19. Geez, some of you guys could've helped Okey re-leverage Jo-Han on Sho Case sales alone! What I like about them is the stacking fator. I think next set of Billy bookcases I buy, I'll leave the intermediate shelved out and just start stacking. I figure I can easily fit 40-50 builds into one of those cases without trying too hard. Perhaps more. Charlie Larkin
  20. A little copper for the bronze, but it does replicate the copper metallic used by most Chrysler divisions nicely. For the interior, I'd recommend either a tan or black interior. I found that Testors Interior Tan over white primer, with some flat light tan on the accents comes very close to the tan interior Chrysler was using in the late 1960s. So far looking very good. Charlie Larkin
  21. Looking really good, Tom. And I know this will be done to your usual high standards. If it's all shortened, etc., how much arm-twisting would it take to have you send that off to Tom, Jeff, Kevin, or another good caster? I'd buy one for a rep-stock build. Charlie Larkin
  22. I like that you added the Olds lettering across the trunklid. That can be foil-cast and transferred to the convertible, which doesn't have it. Looks good, Kevin. Another well-done product. Charlie Larkin
  23. Nice model, 1:1 and a great story to boot! For curiosity's sake, about how big is that dio and is scracthbuilt? Well done, Mike. All of it. Charlie Larkin
  24. The pearl orange looks really good on that. Nicely done. Charlie Larkin
