  1. Feels good to get one done, doesn't it? And you did that up beautifully! Charlie Larkin
  2. Thanks for the tip on this, Jim. Charlie Larkin
  3. Ahh....someone else who sees the difference in digital and color; I do, espcially with a lot of reds/pinks/oranges and occasionally blues. One of the many, many reasons I still shoot 99% of my pictures on film. It works. I am curious, Tulio, how do you find your older-model car runs on the sugar-based gasoline they're using in Brazil? Did you have to modify it in any manner? As to the model...another great stunner. Beautiful, well-built car and a gorgeous color choice. Charlie Larkin
  4. Your models are as nice as your 1:1s, Larry. Thanks for sharing all of them and joining our community. Charlie Larkin
  5. With that police in-car computer, it could be a piece from the unfortunately short-lived series "Life on Mars" a few years ago. Nice job. Charlie Larkin
  6. Nicely done. R&R can be a bit tough to work with sometimes, but they're frequently the only game in town. Charlie Larkin
  7. Very nice work on all three counts. Charlie Larkin
  8. My problem is finding someplace to be able to consistently, quietly, happily work. As I'm in a very cramped situation right now, everything is multi-purposed, even stuff that shouldn't be, and it leads to missing/mislaid parts, although usually in a couple of square foot area, lack of ability to work steadily, etc. The big project this spring, I think, will be to get this major hobble taken care of. Tom- nice job on that engine. Charlie Larkin
  9. Too bad I can't get Java to work on my computer any longer for some reason, I enjoyed poking my head in. Charlie Larkin
  10. Time for a new wife. As miserable as it can be at times, there are times I'm glad I'm single... Charlie Larkin
  11. Very nice, Nick. Charlie Larkin
  12. Nice job with the interior mods, Mike. You could say "molded like this," and I wouldn't really see much of a difference from that picture. Charlie Larkin
  13. I like that custom intake. Very cool. Charlie Larkin
  14. The stuff from Hart's Parts looks REALLY good. That '70 Coronet conversion could be used to make a nice 500 or 440 coupe with a little massaging and a bench seat. Charlie Larkin

    '50 Ford

Nice results and a very tasteful color scheme. The blackwalls are a little different, they work well on that car. Charlie Larkin
  16. Very nice, especially that Olds. Charlie Larkin
  17. Nice job on that. Those little chrome strips will not be fun to do on mine, and I'm dreading it. Charlie Larkin
  18. Very nice. I would've liked to see the seats working. Beautiful work, definitely something you can be proud of. Charlie Larkin
  19. Use the body for painting practice; use the undercarriage for a resin body. Charlie Larkin
  20. You can do that, Scott, but it's royal pain, at least when I tried it. I find Photobucket works much easier, and for the price, you can't go too wrong, and you'll literally store thousands of pictures. It's also a good backup to your computer in case of problems. The albums can also be set to public or private. I have an album for my model building, one for pictures I take around town and whatever, and a private one I use to back up pictures on hard-disk. Charlie Larkin
  21. 1. Open an account with one of the photo-hosting sites. I use Photobucket because they'll let you store lots of pictures for free. 2. Organize said account to your liking. 3. As you go through the pictures, you'll see on the side or below the picture, a box with several types of links. Select links and copy them. 4. Paste those links into the messages here and post. The pictures should come up. 5. Worst case if it isn't working, you can always post direct links from the address bar on the top of your browser. Charlie Larkin
  22. Decals or not, this is shaping up very nicely. I'm thinking of doing mine as a regular 4-4-2 in triple white. Need to grab a C/S convertible for the uptop, and to build one of those, as well. Looking good, Mike. Charlie Larkin
  23. I have Jeff's wagon downstairs and I'll be getting to it at some point in the next year or so, I think. I can honestly say that Jeff casts great parts and just from fiddling with it a little, it'll be a nice kit to put together. I have a spare 383 floating around that I'll be using and have pretty much settled on the color scheme. It's nice to see someone else building one of these. Charlie Larkin
  24. Interesting concept, Bruce. What did you use for the roof/rear windows? If I can get a couple of Randy's Malibu wagons, I might actually try making something like this for myself as a more "factory" take. And I have you to blame thank for the idea! Charlie Larkin
  25. Looks a lot better painted, and I agree, those lights are very nicely done. The wrenches are for working on 1/16 quarry trucks? Charlie Larkin
