  1. Nice job, Jared. Charlie Larkin
  2. I was surprised to find out that gray was the only color of cloth upholstery offered by Chevrolet from the factory in 1951, except for brown vinyl on the wagons (the only color available,) and the convertibles and Bel-Airs used gray cloth with black, green, red or blue leather, depending on exterior color. 1950 must've been different, and I must say, I like that combination much, much better. My '51 will be Thistle gray, which came with red and gray interior and a black top. Great build. Charlie Larkin
  3. I was thinking that's pretty close to Marina Blue, too. That's going to look nice, Mike. Tag it along to Taunton, too, finished or not. Charlie Larkin
  4. Neat conversion. What size strip did you use for the frames? Charlie Larkin
  5. Mike, I'll be looking forward to seeing this in Taunton, done or not. This is absolutely fantastic, and it'll be a major hit. Charlie Larkin
  6. This'll be cool, Steve. And I'm sure Jamie will love it. Charlie Larkin
  7. Very nice, Bob. Charlie Larkin
  8. Nice color combination. Looks good so far. Charlie Larkin
  9. WOW! Fantastic work! Charlie Larkin
  10. Nice Bruce. Where did you source the rest of the parts from? Charlie Larkin
  11. Dave does a lot of nice builds, Mike. I'm sure this will turn out well in your hands. Charlie Larkin
  12. WOW! That would certainly explain why we haven't seen you. Glad to see you're back to sorts. Take it easy and get well. Charlie Larkin
  13. Get well soon, Ed! We all miss having you around. Charlie Larkin
  14. Looks good to me, Mike. The whole model looks great...like a real piece of junk! Charlie Larkin
  15. That looks very nice, Felix. Charlie Larkin
  16. They should have done this with the 1:1. I like this very much. Charlie Larkin
  17. Greg, Dencon is now making the hood, along with a complete '69 Chevelle wagon if you're interested in that, too. Go to Dencon Resin and take a look. Matt's work is highly-regarded and priced reasonably. Charlie Larkin
  18. Cool! At last, an accurate Meteor! I remember seeing a picture of one of those in Collectible Automobile in tri-tone light blue/white/dark blue. What a sharp car. Frankly, I think Ford should have done that with the Fairlane 500s down here. Please do a build thread, Gary. I'd love to watch this. Does Frontier Resins have an Internet page? Charlie Larkin
  19. Somehow, I missed this one. I like it. Charlie Larkin
  20. Cool. Charlie Larkin
  21. Did I see a New Hampshire State Police car in those pictures? Cool! I may very well grab one of these and do a Mass. State Police car. Charlie Larkin
  22. That looks really nice in the Barrier Blue; it's a pretty color to start with. Next '66 GTO I do may be that color. Charlie Larkin
  23. Interesting interpretation, nice execution. Charlie Larkin
  24. Hmmmm.... First and second-generation Dodge Chargers, although I like almost anything Chrysler. Buick GS Olds 4-4-2 Pontiac Tempest/Le Mans with the OHC Six Sprint package. Even if it's not a V8, don't try to tell me it's not a muscle car. Even with the 1-bbl., they were plenty quick. R4 Studebaker Hawks and Avantis. AMC Javelins and Rebels. Charlie Larkin
  25. Very nice, Mike. I love first and second-generation Rivieras. I have a '65 that'll replicate a nice one I saw, which was Bamboo Cream (light, soft yellow) with a green interior (it looked really good!,) and was one of I believe the owner said 140 produced in that color combination. I'm still deciding on the scheme for my '66. I'm leaning towards Riviera Red (dark metallic red,) with a dove or black interior. As a Buick guy, I'll enjoy watching this most especially. Charlie Larkin
