Clean, smooth and beautiful. Great job.
  2. Thanks, Harry, you are probably right . . . I just did a little preliminary research and there's nothing standard . . . probably not even way back in the parlor room days . . . or the days of the red light district houses . . . so yes, I will eyeball it and see how it goes.
  3. Coming along real nice . . . love that toothy grin!
  4. Can't wait to see this one painted, Ira. I am sure you feel the same way.
  5. I like the colors and the graphics are well done too . . . you are going to end up with a nice and unique model.
  6. Can't wait to see you get it started.
  7. Matt, I like both versions, but tell me you didn't paint over the first one? The weathering (rusting) on that one was subtle and very well done. Besides, the 41 Willys is one of those kits you might as well buy by the half dozen . . . once you get addicted to building them, you won't be able to stop.
  8. Bring it on, Donn . . . you are clearly on a Zombie-chopping mission!
  9. Thanks, Ron, and yes, I think with the caliber of all your builds, you need to have a place where your fans can go and pour over all your work. Just something to consider.
  10. Thanks, Junior, that's perfect. I can work with that . . . .
  11. Here's a technical question in hopes someone can answer it. What is the standard height for the chair rails for a wall? Is it about 4 ft? I want to create a wood rail (if that's what they call it) all around the room with wall paper below the rail . . .
  12. Thanks, John and Bryan . . . I am working on the walls now . . .
  13. Again, very interesting possibilities, Junior. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Thanks for posting, Jay. Pretty interesting stuff. First there was man, then the machine, then man invented the computer, then the computer replaced the man and ran the machines . . . and that's the sad story we have today.
  15. The contrast is BEAUTIFUL. Great job on all the details, including those killer brake lights.
  16. It's hard to say from the picture, but I find it works fine . . .

James, I really like the color and this kit always builds into a nice model. Those wheels are nice on it too.
  18. Thanks for the information, Bill . . . I think over time these will offer us lots of possibilities for new graphics.
  19. More progress on the photo-op base. the furniture came in and now I have to work on the walls. The floor is done . . . but there's still plenty to do. Here's a glimpse of what we have so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT9m9GzNPLI:
  20. I spent the morning working on the theater floor using planking from the dollhouse section of the craft store. Here's what I got so far, if you want to check out the video go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-wb3rchiZ0:
  21. You won't get sliced if you just pick it up from the sides.
  22. Craig, delighted to hear you got the technique and got such great results from watching the vids. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing the model done.
  23. Last I heard he was in Utah, and still running the Model Car Museum as well as organizing the GSL shows.
  24. Thanks, David, that looks pretty good. I just have to do some experiments with smooth surfaces and then with clear.
  25. You know looking over all these models, I wonder how many, if any, of these vehicles are left . . . I think most of them were junked because they were not worth anything . . . at least that was the attitude.
