  1. It's a beauty!
  2. Cool, Alex, we'll hold down the fort, and when you are ready to bounce back, do it. Best, DC
  3. Wayne, you can't go wrong with the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. It's a great AB for the money. I have several of those, and one with the MAC valve underneath so I can dial down the pressure right at the gun, but that's not a big deal you can get a dial hook up adjuster for the line . . . Yes, lately I have been getting the pre-mixed paints from COASTAIRBRUSH, and those are ready to go, although I will often put another drop or two of the reducer. Remember to practice every day and you'll get the hang of it before you know it. You are entering a whole new world of fun and possibilities! OH, and don't forget to invest in the best RESPIRATOR money can afford. Take your HEALTH seriously even when you are airbrushing acrylics. Good luck and have fun.
  4. Oh boy, you are a true styrene addict, not taking breaks between projects. Another great show about to start. Can't wait. Popcorn is popping. Keep it going.
  5. Oh yeah, Gil, that's a beauty. I want to lower mine like that too. We'll see how it goes. The clear is drying and next up is some buffing and polishing. Stay tuned in for more.
  6. Yes sir, a red one would be very nice. I just ordered a few more colors . . . and I have to kits waiting to be built. So many projects in the works, EYEGORE is getting dizzy. LOL.
  7. Bring it on, Rob. Great to hear you are feeling better. Cool. Let the fun continue.
  8. Here's a little video if you want to see it spinning! LOL!
  9. A little extra fun:
  10. Well, the snake traveled up to Pittsburgh last week for some special decal treatment, and then my buddy Donn Yost returned it and now it's finished. Hope you like it as much as I do. And, Donn, thanks for the great graphics. I still have to paint the turn signals up front and the wheels on the bars out back.
  11. Beautiful, John. It deserves to be in several magazines, including some 1:1 motorcycle mags. Thank you for providing us with many weeks of great eye candy. Can't wait to see what you will cook up next. Best, DC
  12. That IS different and very cool . . . it shows how much fun you've had building it. Beautiful. Love it.
  13. Wow, what a fabulous thread to that build. Thanks for sharing it with us here. Best, DC
  14. Thank you, everyone. Today the clear goes on, so stay tuned in for more . . . I really appreciate the support. Rob, if I painted 1:1 vehicles I would have already lost my mind!
  15. Nice, Junior. You always come up with some very neat building indeed.
  16. My kit arrived, and it's the house. As soon as I finish the van, I will set to work on it. You can check out the kit in this unboxing. Enjoy:
  17. Very nice, Luke. Great, clean and smooth work as usual. Love all your vehicles in black. It's a trade mark. You are the Johnny Cash of model builders!
  18. Thanks, Mike. Well, you'll be happy to know that the bling is on this van now. Tomorrow I will shoot it with 3 coats of DuPont Clear, then sand and buff and spit shine, and I am ready to finish building it. Got all the parts cleaned up on the chassis and interior and will have it in primer some time tomorrow. We'll see how this one will look in the sun. Thanks for all the comments and supports, folks. I appreciate them.
  19. This van is single handedly going to bring back the 70s. I have to confess I like it a lot more than VANTASY . . . but I think having both is a good thing. I meant the Revell kit, NOT my model. LOL! Although suddenly I have a new for it: BONG! Da BONG VAN! I like it!
  20. Thanks, Jason. Nah, no interior on this one, but there will be a groovy curtain behind the seats . . . maybe the next one I will remove the top so that I can build an interior and show it off.
  21. Thanks, Donn. I can't wait for it to get back here to the Lab-RAT-ory so that I can wrap it up and move on . . . I don't know how you paint so many cars, but I get a little loopy after a while. I feel like I've been swimming a vat of gloss paint for the last month. Lining 'em up one build at a time . . . saving some for a rainy day.
