  1. Can't wait to get it. This way I can finally finish it and photograph it. Yippee!
  2. Daryl, the trick is to keep wiping the tip every second spray or so, just so that nothing builds on it. Also, get into the habit of screen-sifting your paint so that you don't have any dry particles in it. Both of those things should help you stay spraying without problems.
  3. Thanks, Tom. I hope to build a few more of these in the coming year. Stay tuned in. Best, DC
  4. I think I have a whole bunch of those Pegasus wheel kits somewhere, I have to keep looking for them. The paint goes on today. Stay tuned in for more . . .
  5. You got a lot of much on that puppy. Can't wait to see it smooth and ready to take on the paint.
  6. LOL, it also looks like he keeps a pretty clean work bench behind him.
  7. Thanks, Tom . . . I am spending a bit of time trying to figure out how I'm going to paint this one. . . .
  8. Beautiful progress. Some very cool builds flying out of these work benches. NICE! EYEGORE is truly happy.
  9. Beautiful work and details, Ira. Keep it going. You are hitting the ball out of the park.
  10. Don, I have both sets on stand by. I am doing the graphics in white and Pear Ex powders, and after than I will hit it with some candies. We'll see what colors this one will end up being. But yes, it's going to have some bling. I hope so. Stay tuned in for more.
  11. Erik, I watched and enjoyed all the videos you put together while working on this one, and now I am delighted to see the finished project. Thank you for the inspiration. So much in fact that I am working on a van right now, of course, it's not going to have opening doors like yours. What a gem! Great job. Congratulations.
  12. Pretty close, Glenn. I love the TP roll there on the side. Do you do much crying at the bench? LOL!
  13. Skip, I love this thread idea. To me, it's the energy I derive from the styrene addiction. A new kit, the process of building, ending up with a 3 dimensional object that comes straight from the imagination. It's the creative process and much more. And I agree with all of the above.
  14. Thanks, chaps, here's more progress: So I airbrushed a black base coat, and added the tape to be able to work on individual panels (murals) at a time . . . but this gives you a pretty good idea of who the graphics are going to be laid out: We'll see if this one can live up to its name, although once I start I tend to change my mind and then have to do a name change. LOL!
  15. All right, here we go, some shots in primer (Plastikote black): Next up is the basecoat and then some graphics, stay tuned in . . .
  16. Wonderful color, Jonathan, and I like the contrast with the wheels. Good model, buddy. Congrats.
  17. Thanks, Ray, I am not discounting them yet until I see how the final paint job turns out. These are both chrome and Gold, so I like the combination. The body is in primer. Stay tuned in for more progress.
  18. Thanks, everybody. Jason, I smoothed it all out and I am much happier with it. Thanks for pointing it out . . . here's the result: A smooth canvas all the way around . . . Ah, where am I going with this? A surprise, but here's a hint: we are shooting for the stars! Stay tuned in for more.
  19. Thanks, Brian.
  20. Tom, a nice choice there, and I see some good body work already done to it. Way to go. Great progress, everyone.
  21. The new Revell 77 Van has a couple of great options when it comes to side graphics.
  22. Jason, you know what, that's a great idea. These things had been bugging me too. I'll sand them off today. I think smooth is really the way to go.
  23. I agree, this one looks good already . . . can't wait to see more.
  24. Derrick, I hope you do but remember there are easily what? Five months before August 1 and when all these builds will start arriving for their photo ops. You got plenty of time.
