  1. David, that's original, all right, and knowing a few of your pieces, you have YOUR STYLE all over that sucker.
  2. Yes, this is it. It has to say PLASTIKOTE on the can. Accept no substitutes.
  3. Geez, I'm feeling pretty inspired. Thank you for the eye candy, folks, keep it rolling.
  4. I also noticed the subtle but perfect paint (weathering) on those rear tires. Don't get tired of coming back and pouring over this one again.
  5. Good work on the trim. This thing is going to look so good, Ira.
  6. Jim, take your time, but you might want to move on a decision before the prices go up, which I suspect will happen before the summer.
  7. No only that, but it looks like you are wearing your LONE WOLF CUSTOM shirt underneath! HA!
  8. Jim, the only clear coats I stay away from are the catalyzed (3 parts one), that stuff is not good unless you wear a full body suit. You want to keep that stuff OUT of your lungs. Which is why I stick with the one stage clears like the DuPont Spot Acrylic Clear in the can I like to use.
  9. I've only cut myself a couple of times, nothing major, but you really have to watch out with those scalpel blades.
  10. Shane, also, if you want the mud to be a little chunk, mix in a pinch of plaster to the diluted, mud-colored paint and then fling it with the old toothbrush. Good luck, and I know you will post more pictures.
  11. Outstanding, you are on a roll with this one. Hope to see more progress and paint soon. Sweet!
  12. Totally, understand and respect that, Bill. Everyone should keep in mind that COASTAIRBRUSH.COM offers a lifetime warranty and free service on Iwatas, so if anything goes wrong, you mail it in and they will get it back to you in perfect working order.
  13. James, welcome to the forum, and thank you for starting out by simply showing us some of your eye candy in progress.
  14. You bet, Bill. I saw this earlier this morning and I remembered quite a few folks here were interested. The NEO is a great starting brush too, which I think they put out to compete with Badger and Paasche, which are also great contenders.
  15. You can stipple it with a little bit of black, ruddy brown, and gray primer and then spatter some mud on there with an old toothbrush, I think it will make this bad puppy look road ready!
  16. Skip, Doctor Cranky has never rejected Shiny, he's just as crazy about it as he is the other stuff.
  17. I still can't believe that's all paper. Speechless is right!
  18. LOL! A little birdy tells me you did very well at this show!
  19. The Alclad work is OUTSTANDING, and so are all the other details. Another Grand Slam, John. Keep it going, you almost have yourself another beautifully executed and finished model.
  20. Someone just emailed me this picture of a certain someone at a show today walking around telling people that he is Doctor Cranky! Although there are striking resemblances in the gray hair and the fact that the real Doctor Cranky has about 100 pounds on this character (not to mention that this individual can fling gloss a lot better than Doctor Cranky), THIS IS NOT DOCTOR CRANKY. So any autographs or merchandise this said individual is distributing is counterfeit. BUYER BEWARE!
  21. Beautiful, Hamilton. Beautiful!
  22. Wayne, make sure you don't wake up with a horse head in your bed!
  23. Wow, I am all caught up on the fun and excitement with this build, Harry, thanks for sharing the wonderful eye candy and some of the great tips like that cover. Keep it going, chap.
  24. Wonderful work, enjoying every second of it.
  25. Michael, it's a beautiful model. Congratulations. It looks like you are also full steam ahead on the base. I can see the Palm tree and couple of more surfboards stuck in the sand.
