  1. Doctor Cranky has fallen in love with this kit. I had been meaning to build one in a few years, and I want to thank Donn Yost for the inspiration behind this one. Donn, the Pearl Ex powders are STUNNING with what they do to a regular paint job. Thank you, my friend. I am uploading a video that will show the paint job a lot better, please stay tuned in for that. Thank you for tuning in.
  2. A few more: notice the upholstered interior! All the little chrome bits take time and patience, but they really take this build to the next level.
  3. All right, folks, I beat the clock by a whole bunch of hours . . . what a great, easy kit to put together. It's got a few ticks, but nothing major! I'm building another couple here in the next few weeks. Yes, I love it that much . . . It all comes together beautifully, although I didn't want to use the decals that came with the kit, they would have covered too much of the pretty paint . . . (I want to thank Donn Yost for the advice, inspiration, and because he's cuckoo for great colors and Pearl Ex powders!)
  4. Alan, those are all wonderful elements for the diorama. Hope to see more progress soon. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Nice subtle weathering and rusting. It looks very good. I like it. EYEGORE says: LONG LIVE RUST!
  6. Beautiful work, and thank you for sharing it. Love the marker tip.
  7. Oh, I like this look. Great idea, and I think once the paint is on this thing is going to POP!
  8. It looks like you are enjoying putting this one together, it's a great kit.
  9. Progress pictures coming up, stay tuned in, please . . . thank you all for the fun of this weekend, and for all the inspiration.
  10. Incredible line up of progress reports. You guys are on a thunderous roll. Keep it going. Amazing energy, dedication, and drive. Keep it going.
  11. Thanks, Andy. Donn only recommended the colors, and then I went crazy with the Pearl EX powders.
  12. Yes, they are closing down. I encourage everyone to put in their order. The scary thing is that SLIXX is the best decal source out there and they will be gone when they run out of their last decal. Stock up now, you don't want to regret it a year from now.
  13. Thank you, Andrew . . . I am hoping other people will post their playing-around-with-photos sessions. Hopefully this thread will continue to be an inspiration to anyone who is willing to try fun stuff with their models and cameras.
  14. Wow, you guys hit the ground running wit this one. I'm glad the term "freakshow" opened it up to include some weird stuff that's out there. Thank you for the input. Rob, that' diorama is AMAZING. Can you post more pictures of it? Do you have more pictures of it. I've never seen anything like it. Goes to show you that the great ideas are out there.
  15. Folks, I am wondering how many of you like (or dislike) the Circus. I've always been afraid of clowns and balloons, but the reason why I am starting this thread is because I am interested to find out if you have any particular vehicles (in scale or real) you've run across that pay homage to anything circus related. I know one of my favorite builders, Mr. Bill Borgen, has built a few circus vehicles, but I wonder who else has dabbled in the style. If you have, please share . . . also if you have any real reference pictures of circus vehicles. Including the big rigs. Hope you have fun with this one!
  16. Here's some eye candy by my friend Jim "Hollywood" Fernandez, who is as crazy about rat rods as EYEGORE!
  17. Raul, what a beauty. Another fine, gorgeous model added to your collection. You are starting the year off with a Grand Slam.
  18. Gary, that's absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see more. I copied the picture to the next video archives. Thank you.
  19. Some amazing builds in progress. I have fallen in love with this Revell Shelby Cobra "Streetburner" kit. Wow. I'll have some progress pics soon. Thank you all for the inspiration.
  20. John, you always kill me with this amazing level of detailing. I don't know how you do it, but you sure do have a gift.
  21. I have gone nuts over this Revell Shelby Corbra "Streetburner" kit. Wow, it's fantastic and it builds better than I expected. Stay tuned in for more pictures very soon.
  22. Dave, that's a cool build, and I think it would make a great diorama too. Great find.
  23. Ira, this looks like another great eye candy splurge. I love it. Your builds are always so much fun to watch.
