  1. Anthony, that sounds cool. Another large build. I'm telling ya the CARAVAN is going to stretch for hundreds of scales miles! I hope. Have fun and enjoy the journey.
  2. Jeffrey, welcome to the TZH SQUAD, buddy. Dale, that's one killer build and you haven't even put an ounce of paint on it. Wow. I copied the pictures, thank you.
  3. Thanks, Gregg, it's kind of refreshing not to have to explain every single time why these kinds of threads should get everyone salivating. Just the fact it brought us Luke's work is plenty for me. Now, a question about the glass, which is pretty cheap still to buy in a large enough piece. If you paint it underneath, it would still work . . . as a reflective surface. Some interesting ideas already a-swimmin' in my noggin'!
  4. Welcome to the TZH Squad, Richie. Get ready and jump right into the build. Looking forward to see what you will cook up. Dale, that's looking wonderful.
  5. It's cold here too, and very strange weather. Who knows what the heck is going on? Okay, we can do hockey teams. LOL!
  6. I'm definitely planning to put the NNL East on next year's calendar and also the GSL next time it happens.
  7. Let the fun begin. I'm here watching over your shoulder, Chuck. Keep it going.
  8. Jim (and Donn), if we lived near by we could sponsor a couple of little league baseball teams. The RUSTYS vs The SHINEYS! That'd be something, wouldn't it? Jim and Donn coach the SHINEYS and EYEGORE and I will coach the RUSTYS! I'd pay to see that!
  9. You better believe it. I'm lining up some of these shiny builds to start finish them pronto. Expect eye candy soon. One build at a time, and a bright (and shiny) smile!
  10. John, that's always the idea. No stress, all fun, and lots of smiles!
  11. Down here in the South people have been known to get Skunks and other animals de-scented and then they keep them as pets. Squirrels are a bit more delicate as babies, and most people fear them because of the rabies, although you can have them tested for it.
  12. Folks, one thing I want to bring up for those folks heading into a second round of builds, remember that you don't want to get burned out. You might want to take a little rest and do something else for a while. Remember that we still have like 8 more months to go. We need the troops fresh and ready! The other thing I wanted to mention is that, again, if you are looking for ideas and inspiration, I hope you look no further than some of the models here.
  13. Donn, another convert at the Church of the Gloss & Shine!
  14. Vincent, one more question, how was the turn out this year? I know Ira and John Teresi where there, and probably Rom showed up too. I hope other folks start posting some more pictures. The NNL West is a huge show.
  15. Tony, I think you've come up with a great idea when you said "ice." It'd be so cool to take a picture of a model inside a freezer where you have allowed the water to form into stalactites.
  16. I like it. What did you use for the grill center? Are those washers? Keep it going, it's a model that's going to look great once finished.
  17. Rom, this thread continues to rock. We also have to remember that there are lots and lots of amazing model builders outside the USA.
  18. There you go, it's the beauty of Donn's system. You will find that often you won't have to sand or buff at all.
  19. Thanks, Vincent, and WELCOME TO THE FORUM. You are only on your second post and already you are feeding us the EYE CANDY. Thank you!
  20. Chris, a quick question, is that body already sanded and buffed, or is that the way it looks right out of the paint booth after the 3 days of gassing out?
  21. And it looks like you got great results off the bat. The Old Man is going to be overjoyed to hear it . . . he'll jump in any minute now . . .
  22. Chris, welcome to the fan club!
  23. Has anyone here ever tried making a cigar box resonator? I've seen a whole bunch of builds on YOUTUBE and those guys make it look easy. And they sound very cool. I think there are kits you can buy too.
  24. Brian, that turned out to be a great picture of a beautiful model. And you are right, there's no way to go wrong out in the daylight.
