  1. I got the whole body details so far. Later after it is painted, I will add specific cargo, etc . . .
  2. All right, here's an update before I go off to work. I shortened the crows nest down to about 10-12 scale feet. It definitely looks better now that I can take pictures of the whole thing. Just room enough up there to get the shooter in the seat. I'm realizing this is like a PICK-YOUR-ZOMBIES-OFF-ONE-BY-ONE-FOR-FUN type of vehicle! But then it could also do some serious damage.
  3. Very interesting chassis elements, Rob. Can't wait to see the whole model.
  4. Wow, beautiful, Rob. You are working pretty fast, buddy. But it looks great. Thanks for the outside pics.
  5. Cool beans, Rob. Well, I went into the kits stash and could not find any cherry pickers left (I used to have 2 of those Italery truck accessories kits . . . I guess I must have used them or traded them.. I think the telescoping crows nest lift is still a possibility, although I might just shorten what I have from 20 scale feet down to about 10 or 12. That might look better, and would allow me to get it all in the pictures. Right now I can't get both elements in the shot. Unless someone has a better idea or solution . . . thanks for the input. The pleasure is all mine, Barry. You just keep the eye candy coming!
  6. Thanks, Derrick. I think it's a wild, far-fetched idea that in real life would not work, but Jamie gave me an interesting idea of either doing it telescopically, or I might be able to use a crane, cherry picker I build for another vehicle on here. Let me see what I can cook up. Stay tuned in!
  7. Ed, and those are good too. Look what I'm doing to the VANTASY . . . clearly an abomination, but SO MUCH FUN!
  8. Also added some much-needed battle damage throughout, a bit subtler than usual:
  9. I'm not sure yet if it's going to ride on the bed or on top of the vehicle for some extra height . . . we'll see. I'm also applying some hex nuts to those extra panels on the side . . . And I found a spiffy ladder to add for the climb . . .
  10. Did someone say protect the Crow's Nest? This thing is coming along, and as you can tell from the picture an old fashioned plastic spoon came to the rescue: I also wanted to capture what a great danger it would be to go up there and shoot at those pesky Zombies! It's a tight fit to climb in there but the seat does swivel!
  11. I'm on a 70s kick now, Ed. I'm currently working on the VANTASY that just came out. I don't know what it is about the Gremlin other than it's still a butt ugly car, but like Chuck says it's a subject that is once again available. That simple.
  12. It DOES look like something Ira would build, or John T for that matter.
  13. Can't wait to get the Popcorn popped and the comfy chair to watch another great year of the 24 HOUR BUILD.
  14. Any of these would be good to have. You betcha!
  15. I think this one is a bit easy. The holes on the body give it away for me!
  16. Use the search engine, there should be a couple. I've seen a couple, I think.
  17. Love the name, and that's a beauty. Nice work.
  18. Thanks, John, lots of great builds being posted here. Hope you guys keep 'em coming. The Revell 49 Merc Limited Edition is one of Doctor Cranky's favorite kits. Certainly up in the top 3.
  19. Beautiful engine, and that blue has plenty of bling on it. Nice.
  20. That's one big boat of a car. You don't see those too often. Keep it going.
  21. EVERYONE, Harry is right, the more the merrier. This CB is open to everyone who wants to explore this kind of build and have lots of fun doing it. If you want the energy level to stay super charged, invite friends to join in and this way there will always be a constant supply of eye candy flying around. Jim, I wish I lived near you and I would most certainly come on over and give you a hand setting up the bench, for all the practical selfish reasons, which are WE NEED TO HAVE YOU BACK ON THE BENCH BUILDING! Best, DC
  22. I love these types of builds. Pure eye candy and inspiration.
  23. Wow, you are back with a vengeance. Those look great. Get 'em done in 2012!
  24. Andy, I think you are right, I think he does mean "pre" but uses "pro."
  25. Thanks, Ira. I appreciate the support.
