  1. Loving all the builds, hope you folks keep 'em going. Sweet colors too!
  2. Dave, that's a great tip, and it looks super realistic. Excellent.
  3. Speaking of inspiration, here's a build that really has done a number on me over the year's. Pat Covert's "GRUNDY LUNAR SCAVENGER". Enjoy:
  4. You betcha, Danny . . . it's all about the inspiration. By the time this year end, we will all have a few more builds on the shelves, and lots of fun to live through! Cheers, DC
  5. Ah, memories . . . Doctor Cranky and Sgt. EYEGORE are warming up their engines . . . I can feel that Dodge van kit making its way down from Atlanta to me . . . can't wait. The ideas are starting to ferment! Next thing I know we will have INSANITY BEER to chase our Scrapple Sandwiches down with!
  6. Danny, it makes perfect sense to me. Any story that brings those anachronistic elements to bare are all right in my warped brain!
  7. Love it! Great examples!
  8. Patrick, did I just see you turn a Vette into a pick up truck? NICE! Great touch. I like it already. Here's a suggestion about those front wheels. I would use the same as in the back. This one is going to look like a killer beefy DONK VETTE to make all those Toothless Zombies into Crepe Suzettes! LOL! Keep it going.
  9. Interesting set up. I would use the best lighting you can afford, maybe a bank of flourescent lights.
  10. The blame is all welcomed. Shoot, you already even have your background story. Can't wait to see what you cook up. Great indeed! The CARAVAN grows, and grows, and hopefully it will stretch for miles over and into the horizon! Cheers.
  11. I sure did, and I responded. Keep an eye on that mail box!
  12. You've mocked it up with the right look, I can't wait to see more.
  13. That should not be a deterrent, Erik. Build it your way, your style. Isn't that part of what's fun.
  14. LOL, whatever it takes to join the TZH SQUAD CARAVAN will keep Sgt. EYEGORE happy!
  15. Should turn into a very cool model. BTW, these types of vehicles will often make excellent WW3 vehicles, not that you should consider doing that to this one. Cheers, DC
  16. You can get similar results to David's real wood long board. Excellent.
  17. Black gesso would probably do the trick, or a bit of matt black paint flicked on their with a toothbrush, or you can stipple it with the airbrush, if you are comfortable with doing it that way.
  18. That turned out really nice, and the chassis is a work of art. Great job on it.
  19. BTW, that Daffy Duck thing, is that a hairdryer or a heat gun or a mini fan? Just curious.
  20. The fun inspiration continues: This kit is a Kow Yokoyama design, and yes, it's been an inspiration time and again:
  21. Here's your Sunday eye candy and inspiration, someone who is clearly having lots of fun with this kind of build . . . enjoy: http://www.toycutter.com/2011/04/more-post-apocalyptic-vehicles.html
  22. Beautiful work getting done on this thread. Very nice. Ron, great body work on that Ford. The tail light cones are a nice addition.
  23. I think that grill is very nice, the right look indeed. Another great use for pins!
  24. Nice, looking real good.
  25. Oh boy and what a return it is! Wonderful model, love the color, and the photographs are pure eye candy. THANK YOU! And welcome back!
