  1. You even put numbers on the belt. EXCELLENT detailing.
  2. Rob, that scene has all the right looks, and excellent weathering. You are making it look super real. Keep it coming.
  3. I'll definitely get it for the extra goodies in it, although I normally don't build his kind of vehicle, I think it would be fun.
  4. Nice collection of vehicles. Thank you for sharing the eye candy with us.
  5. Excellent, and I like the smooth look. You did a great job removing the trim.
  6. You are very brave doing these kinds of cuts. I've never tried anything like that. I'm always afraid to . . . it's just me. But this is going to look very different, I think, and interesting too.
  7. Garred, it's going to be a contest that will last the entire year. The winner will be announced in December 2012, and he prizes will be sent out before the 24th of December. So you have plenty of time. Also, I am still ironing out the details. Like I said, I will announce it at the beginning of January, probably no later than the 10th or so. Stay tuned in.
  8. Not me, I am anal about painting everything that could possibly be seen. Of course with the headliners sometimes I just use paper upholstery as a way to cover up what is not painted, that circle left by the pipe nipple. Besides, it gives the interior a nice different look.
  9. Thanks for the kind words, gents . . . Brian, yes, I employ both of those techniques, and I go over them in detail in the book. There are a few videos on my YOUTUBE channel on how to go about it. The best advice I can give you is to practice first on a scrap body, trying some of the standard products available out there like the RUSTALL system (Micro Mark) or the rusting solutions that are available at the craft stores. Also, you can get a lot of subtle weathering done with pastels, you know the artists kind. The other thing you can do after you start is begin posting results and then we can guide you according to what you are doing and what we see. You've been warned though: RUSTING IS ADDICTIVE! Happy styrene journeys!
  10. Yes, folks, keep the eye candy coming. Very nice work. Tonio, that Riviera turned out beautiful It's inspired me to get mine painted.
  11. The yellow really works on this model and the decal flames are perfect for the color. The pictures are a little blurry so they detract from our being able to enjoy more of the details. Shoot your models against a white sweep which you can easily make with white paper or cheap thin poster board. Keep sharing the eye candy with us.
  12. Truly bautiful. The white and yellow work very well together. I think once the trim goes on, this one is just going to POP! Keep it going, please.
  13. That Jeep is going to be a killer.
  14. Mark, that chassis looks very good, and of course, the plumbing adds that little extra special touch.
  15. Same here, Stuart. I can' wait to see the paint go on.
  16. That would be fantastic. Galaxie puts out great products. They are not as prolific as other companies, but those kits have nothing envy Tamiya et al.
  17. I'm playing the Lotto, Harry.
  18. Doug, it sounds like you have the best of both worlds. The NEO like a fine airbrush with the Iwata quailty.
  19. You gotta throw in some SCRAPPLE next time and see what happens. I suggest bringing your respirator! LOL!
  20. Thank you for joining our community and for right away bringing us this type of amazing eye candy. I love the dark/light two-tone green paint job. It's a wonderful model. And yes, WOW, if you got the fan to turn that in my book means the engine is running! Welcome and I hope you stick around and share more of your work with us.
  21. Chuck, that is functional and simple enough. The trick is to have something you can turn to get full coverage. I use chopstix with double sided tape, toothpicks too and wire. Shoot, I have a variety of methods. Like I said before whatever helps keep you building and finishing models is super good.
  22. Bobby, I think that set up should see you through lots of fun painting, just make sure you put a moisture trap on that compressor or on the hose if they didn't come with one. Happy painting!
  23. It just goes to show that there are different approaches and I believe that whatever keeps you building and finishing models is more than fine.
  24. Brett, you've been very busy feeding us some amazing eye candy all year. Tonio too, and so many others . . . and I hope you guys will keep 'em coming in 2012.
  25. LOL! You guys are helping keep the Old Doctor feeling young. My AARP card arrived today! Now I am officially a senior citizen. Now me and EYEGORE can show up for the Early Bird Specials at the local trough.
