  1. Good details, looking good, please keep it going.
  2. Folks, it's always great to see what people are still driving, in particular when it comes to the classics . . . hope that, like me, you carry your camera with you at all times . . . because you never know what you will spot sitting pretty in the middle of a city. Case in point, this beauty I found in Miami just parked nowhere special . . . enjoy.
  3. I got home, opened the great box from Model Round Up, and in it I found two of my babies waiting. I love this kit. I took one and tucked it under my pillow for the night. Now this morning my ear is beet red and I have a brain full of ideas for builds! Can't wait.
  4. LOL! Thanks, I can always wear a bib!
  5. Beautiful truck. Super clean and classy. Great job!
  6. Oh man, if this is your first time, I can't wait to see what you do with the next three. This is a wonderful weathered vehicle. What you don't realize is that Rust and Gunk are now in your blood. Might as well face it, you are addicted to Rust! Keep the great eye candy coming! LONG LIVE RUST! (and Gunk!)
  7. Beautiful combination of vehicles, graphics, and details. Nice job. Congrats.
  8. It will arrive soon, I feel it!
  9. You know, they keep thinking that they are doing these great and beautiful designs, but any original Caddy would beat that . . . or the original Continental even! Having said that, it wouldn't hurt to cast new kits just to keep the blood flowing . . .
  10. Nice work, I like this model.
  11. It was also the decade of all those non-descript Japanese cars that flooded the market.
  12. Wow, love this scene. Lots of great details to pour over. Nice, nice, nice. Congrats.
  13. LOL! I think you are right, I AM losing it. No wonder, I kept reading 159 as if it were 160. Darn it, 160 hasn't arrived yet, but I am sure it will be here today or tomorrow. Thanks for keeping my head straight!
  14. How about those of you with "midly" weathered vehicles. Which reminds me . . . I got back into the hobby at a time when very little weathering was done and along came those who started to create mud spatter on their racing subjects, and I have to tell you it got excited from there . . . Now you got rusting, burned vehicles, very good representations of how real cars weather, etc . . .
  15. Excellent model. Congrats.
  16. I grew up in the 70s in California and I can tell you all those Impalas, Novas, and Firebirds were still prevalent, not to mention the GTOs, the Challengers, etc . . . but then something happened and along came the Pinto, Vega, Gremlin, Pacer . . . etc . . . I respect your decade choice for automobiles, but the 70s really marked the end for great looking cars. Good design was sacrificed for fuel efficiency. Plastic replaced metal, etc . . .
  17. Wow, the treasures keep surfacing. Great stuff. Keep 'em coming!
  18. No, I made a mistake, Mr. Most's review of Doctor Cranky's book is in issue 159, I think . . . Harry, I just finished reading 160 and I can tell you it ROCKS! THANK YOU!
  19. Wheelman, these are great. I love the burned vehicle in the 3rd picture. I hope more car builders keep trying out the techniques that the military builders have been working on for the last couple of years. Burned subjects are very cool and require lots of research!
  20. Over time I've only heard of a few people who build models for others, and part of me thinks it's a crazy idea because your imagination is bound in by what someone else wants. I don't know . . . it might be a great topic for discussion in another thread.
  21. Yes, I keep coming back to this one. I hope you get it into the paint booth soon.
  22. I like the way it turned out, J. Very nice.
  23. I like the work you've done to the chassis . . . the paint job is good too, although I miss the stars . . .
