  1. Yes, which is the predicament we are in as a society. If we are all winners, why is 1% of the population holding up all the wealth? LOL!
  2. If they get to rethink all these issues, they might come to agree that a good way of doing it is having a few judges during the year attend the big shows like the NNL EAST, etc, and judge the models straight from the tables, OR, come up with a shipping container that is model-safe (and which they send out to each participant) and they get to receive and judge the model in person . . .
  3. I agree, Harry, but it's going to be the only feasible way of doing it. I can't imagine having a contest where you send in the model, and then they keep it, etc . . . Or, actually, now that it sounds like the pictures will win the day, I can see a few people going to a professional photographer to get the best glamour pictures take of their models . . .
  4. I've always like this car, and the kit too!
  5. Yes, I am also in South Florida part of the year, but either way it takes me about 4 hours to head down or up to the Orlando area. Keep me posted though, I'd like to check out a show or two when they happen.
  6. Beautiful. Keep 'em coming. They really are A-CRANKING DOCTOR CRANKY! THANK YOU.
  7. Home Depot carries a wide selection, so does Lowes.
  8. Of course, if they don't funnel some of the profits into higher production quality and better kits, I don't think it's going to matter much either way . . .
  9. Again, I think things will improve . . . they will iron out the kinks, but I do believe in the fact that this WILL BE GOOD for Revell, which means they will have more money to get more new tools and kits out . . . which then makes us all happier recipients . . .
  10. Try the diorama section?
  11. I think in the coming years, if the contest continues, they'll have to look closer at levels of skill, in particular with painting and detailing, etc . . . it also reminds me of how utterly difficult it must be to be a judge and then have to run the gaunlet.
  12. I'm in Tallahassee, but I could probably make it to a regional show . . .
  13. James, time will always be fleeting . . . the only way I know of slowing it down is to build something, even if its through a sleepless night, which happens to me more often than not.
  14. These builds are turning out to be truly inspirational, Chuck. Love the detailing you are putting into this build.
  15. Nice lines and details on that model. Congrats.
  16. Everyone gets out of this one's way. Excellent.
  17. Oh, that's a great ref. picture. I think this will make a great addition to the build (and collection!).
  18. Keep the eye candy coming, my friends. Thank you.
  19. Tonio, that's a wonderful model, and it shows the high quality entry that many of the folks on this forum entered. Something tells me the judges had a very hard time picking from pictures alone . . . but what the heck, there's always next year, I hope.
  20. Keep up the wonderful eye candy. Thanks for sharing your work with me. (And the rest of us!)
  21. Hum, very interesting. I like a few of the models that won. I hope they keep doing the contest, it sure does get lots of folks building, which is what it's all about.
  22. OH WOW, Luis, that second one is going to be a killer ride. You gotta keep it going. Finish it, it's a wonderful canvas. Insane in the membrane indeed!!!
