  1. Oh, I see what you mean, another great film is THE LAST PICTURE SHOW. Yes, farm beaters I think are all pretty cool.
  2. Joe, does that mean you are in? I am not following what this has to do with Big Daddy Roth?
  3. I sure do hope there will be a great deal of interest in building these types of vehicles in a community build. All fun, no STRESS, and no rules. You finish it when you finish it. All we ask is that you contribute all your eye candy here to this thread . . . you progress build, your inspiration eye candy, etc . . . you know the routine. Build one and share. Here's where my original idea comes from. I hope it helps keep you inspired. http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/Hot-Rods-Rat-Rods/blog/template_permalink.asp?id=127
  4. Okay, I will start one over there for the coming year. Great to hear there is interest. I am hoping others (who might know) can continue to chime in about the history of such vehicles, etc . . . and keep posting eye candy pictures of some they've seen in their communities.
  5. Thanks, Mike, I am glad the videos are getting around. I am promoting the heck out of the magazine (it's the only one DCL and EYEGORE endorse in the car modeling world!) and the Forum. Nick, I just bought four more of those. Has all the making of a great kit!
  6. Nick, you must be reading my mind, although Revell's new releases are making it really really really hard.
  7. Chuck Most would know. I am thinking of using the tires from the Willys Jeep that just got rereleased. I think also it would be cool to just look for 1/24th scale diecast tractors and use the parts.
  8. Thanks, Wayne. I've always been fascinated by how people end up cobbling together these machines, and as a model builder I think they have lots of great potential for have a blast in this hobby.
  9. Another beauty and fun build in progress.
  10. Can you post a larger picture? Please.
  11. This is part of automotive history and I am convinced all of this is great material for building ideas . . . you look through the website and if you don't start drooling, you might not be alive. Enjoy and happy TGIF eye candy. Cheers. By the way, I think this would make a great CBP. http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/Hot-Rods-Rat-Rods/blog/template_permalink.asp?id=127 FOR THOSE OF YOU INTERESTED IN GOING BEYOND THE DISCUSSION OF THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES and actually building one, here's the CBP thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67168
  12. Absolutely wonderful. Love the water drop effect too. Congrats, Jim, another winner.
  13. Interesting progress, we will continue to watch.
  14. I hope you finish that 32.
  15. He lost his internet. I am sure he'll be back soon.
  16. Wonderful idea. I like where it is headed.
  17. It's beautiful. Nice.
  18. Cool, very nice.
  19. That sure is a nice take. Good job.
  20. Nice work, love the color. Wonderful model in your collection.
  21. Thanks, everyone. Ira, It'd love to have both models in a picture. We'll have to cross paths one of these fine days at a show.
  22. John, sounds like that is a wonderful highlight. Thanks for sharing. Of course, my highlight of 2012 is not going to be seen until January 2013 when I got to work and collaborate with the Old Man (Mr. Donn Yost), a first of several wonderful sorties into styrene addiction.
  23. What were your highlights? I know we are not in December yet, but you never know, it might not happen so it's best to start now. LOL!
