  1. But John, and if was YOUR photograph he made the poster from and is selling the poster, shouldn't you be getting some dough? It sounds to me like he's violating copyright law.
  2. I want to thank John for the permission to make a nice video out of his gorgeous build.
  3. Bravo, Wayne, another great model in your collection.
  4. Beautiful color! Nice, keep it going.
  5. A healthy combination of both is the way to go. Look at Mr. Stepanek, he is a little shiny and a little rusty.
  6. Love it, what a great vehicle. Thank you for sharing.
  7. Keep it going, keep it going.
  8. Love the way this one is turning out. Looking forward to more.
  9. It's looking very good, and it's a wonderful kit so you can't go wrong.
  10. Welcome to the best Model Car Forum on this side of the universe, Jerry. Looking forward to you sharing your eye candy. Cheers, DC
  11. I don't recommend it. I just paid 69 dollars for GASSER WARS which is a book that has been out of print and very hard to get. The best thing to do for those of us who collect books is just to keep an eye open for when a copy goes on sale for a reasonable price. That's the best way of keeping up your collection without getting into any sort of copyright violation trouble. Besides, part of the fun of collecting materials is the hunt!
  12. THE MAYANS WERE WRONG! Also, if you want to see Doctor Cranky's "END OF THE WORLD" outfit . . .
  13. LOL, and nobody says anything about my lovely Miami Dolphin socks. HA! Thanks, everyone. I will add just a little bit of mud all the way around. I am finishing this sucker today.
  14. I don't know, Donn, I might be done with certain types of cross dressing:
  15. Thanks, Sait. It's just pure fun exchanging all the inspiration on this forum. Cheers, DC
  16. John, what a beautiful model. I'm loving every stage of it. BRAVO!
  17. Thanks, Andy, and thanks Donn. We'll see what happens in 2013. Only the new year will tell what kind of madness will run in my blood. Plus, there are rumors of an impending article in MCM that is supposed to rock the styrene world! LOL. Well, I hear it's like some sort of World Wrestling Federation "DEATH CAGE" type of match . . . I looked here and didn't find anything about this RUST VS SHINY all-out brawl! http://www.wwe.com/
  18. Now that all I have left to do on this build is fling the mud, I am hesitating. Does this mean I am turning into a SHINY ADDICT? LOL! NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Mike, although this was not what you had in mind, it is a reminder that sometimes there are "happy" accidents. Why happy? Because for those of us who love building junkers, beaters, and rusty jewels, this is a perfect technique. Crackle effect like this is hard to pull off, but it looks great in scale for a door that has seen better days. Best, DC
  20. But the idea can be adapted to the 57, it's still an exciting idea for a build.
  21. Hope you will make more progress soon, buddy.
  22. Great Mercs.
  23. The color is killer, makes it look wicked. I would not want to race next to it.
  24. Yes, indeed. Although you will never hear me say SHINY RULES, you are in fact working very hard towards that goal. Great job, Jim. The color is outstanding and that interior is beautiful.
