He is listed as 5'5" so I am taller than him. At my height every inch counts. LOL Being this short makes driving my Stang a pain to get in and out of. The seat has to be up far enough for me to get the clutch to the floor (short legs and all). With a power seat going back and forth is not an option. It moves to slow. I wish I would have picked an automatic. OH well, I have had it for 12 years now almost 47,000 miles. No winter driving for me in this.

Thanks Mike . I just went through the same thing with one of my great nephews . He was set on a hard kit to start with and I talked him into an easy one to start out with. His mom is not the one to let stuff sit around very much. She is a clean freak so he will not build at home much.

Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby to buy another kit for the stash ( like I need another one) , anyway when I walked to the aisle there was a young kid ( 8 or 9 ) looking at the kits . He was pacing back and forth with a Semi kit in his hands . He puts it down to look at the price and he sighs. I pull out my 40 % off coupon and show him. Then his mother walks up and I ask is this your son. She says yes and I ask he if she wants the coupon to buy him a kit . She says thank you and I tell her that the Semi kit is not a good kit for his age , I tell her that he will get frustrated very fast with it. She thanked me and said he likes it because of the transformer movie . Then I point to the Camaro snap kit and tell her to paint it yellow for him. I picked up some glue and a discounted can of paint , I was looking for the kid and I saw him walking up the aisle with the Camaro kit in his arms and a big smile. Maybe he will build this kit and another one after it.

Tom has made some great point as have others. Antonio I would guess that the first guys that made Rat Rods though the same thing . Fads come and go but people will build as long as we have kits. Your taste and mine do not have to be the same for us to have a nice conversation at a show. The way all kits are made is the same, just the subject matter is different. The old guys forget they were young once and the old guys to them did not think much of the muscle cars they craved . As long as people are respectful at a show I do not care what they build. Come to think of it the larger the crowd the better .
