Bill what you have said is spot on. But I never said it did not need to be safe. I am all for safe cars going down the road. I do not think unsafe rods are a good thing. I did say I like the style . I also do not think that every car needs to be polished out top to bottom to be cool or safe . Do not forget before every polished car is painted they are in bare metal.

Some great points were made here . The one I was looking for was the fact that when Lincoln had Cadillac on the ropes they went into the prevent defense . Cadillac is now winning because they went for the youth market . The buyers that can still crawl out of these low riding modern cars . Most older people could care less about going fast around a corner . They want a car they can get out of and ride around in comfort. With the Baby Boomers buying less cars and having less money to spend on cars the market is shrinking. Most people my age do not have a problem looking at or buying non American brand Autos, the market is shrinking even more.

One of the cool things about this car in the photo is the anti norm of it . Notice the houses in the background are the same . they all have brick mail box post with the same every other house layout being the same . The other houses have pickups in the drives , this rod does not fit in . The wheels are wrong for this style rod, they are painted and billet and low profile with white walls . The engine is not a common sight in theses also. It has disc brakes up front and store purchased air cleaner stacks . It is still just what this movement is all about . My Style, My Way, My Rules . I like most of it , not all but it is not mine.

IMOP I think that the early problems with Ebay are the cause of the name. Yes it is the other people that are the cause, but such is life . I feel they have the best selection there is . I have purchased a few things. Only a few problems all but one resolved.

BAH HUMBUG !!!! A few years ago my good neighbors put lights on my house one night. I did not turn them on till Christmas Eve . Up here in Michigan you put them up when the weather is good. Anytime after the first of November . They just do not turn them on till Thanksgiving.

These would make a cool wheel stander .

From what I have seen on ebay people still ask the 100 dollar start bid but fewer of them sell. This holds true until a year after the new release is out.
