  1. You have already been giving some good advise from the other guys already. You may just try a local Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupon , a hobby shop would be a great place to shop but if funds are low the coupon works great. Depending on when you need to make this purchase if nothing is close go to the web. By the way you have chosen a great site for questions. I am 3 miles north of the Michigan Ohio line. I do most of my hobby shopping in Monroe MI or Toledo OH areas.
  2. Welcome aboard .
  3. Fine work on the Promo . Make it yours as the new saying goes. Antonio yours looks also.
  4. This is old news , but hearing it hurts. I know they can not keep everything that would cost a fortune to house all the old molds in a heated building. If not stored properly they would end up stuck together . All the moving parts could not be left together they would have to be greased up for storage. I also think the wanting for the 1/16 scale parts is because our eyesight is not what it once was.
  5. That might happen Greg but they will have made money in the process . A later release will make them more money. That is what matters to us. If they make money they keep making money and will produce the kits you like. As a lover of models I am happy when they make a kit that is a good seller , even if I do not buy it.
  6. "You can not swim in the shallow end , go ahead and get your head wet ." Looks good so far, I have read this is a good kit so you picked a good kit for your first solo run.
  7. They will release them right after you buy a case for to much money . LOL That is what happens to me, I buy the kit I want for 30% more than the reissue .
  8. I like it. Growing a fondness for these Birds.
  9. This is a great model of a very interesting car. The photo etch look very nice . Not a bad deal for that many grills an such. If that is just one of the sheets even better .
  10. Welcome .
  11. Looks great.
  12. This could be parts form two different kits also. I had forgot you said it had the ertl lettering. That could explain the ill fitting front .
  13. Monogram 1/24 4012 92 Firebird Formula My best guess.
  14. The box art looks cool . How does it look indies the box? I checked the guide I have but it does not cover non USA manufactures.
  15. What was the asking price Tom? Lee the Firebird has been the better looking car from 70 on.
  16. Around 35 for both cars is a good enough deal . You may find them cheaper but how long is it going to take you. The Mercury would sell for double that at most model car shows, it is in great condition.
  17. Looks good.
  18. Cut the hood sides off and put a Hemi in that thing ! Great score. Better yet find a caster to copy your body and make both versions .
