  2. Just a late release date of the new model for 1970. So they called it a 701/2 .
  3. Joe ,old Limo's are cheap , what else can you do with an old limo? A Limo rental biz does not wants to use them . They make great road trip cars.
  4. Great looking build . My brothers 1:1 1952 truck had the tank behind the seat . That would mean that from 1949 on they were in the cab until they were under the frame in the 70's .
  5. Nice looking truck Guy.
  6. 1930 Ford Closed Cab Truck My project truck ,has plenty of rust but I am buying parts. 2002 Mustang GT summer car. 2012 Explorer
  7. Welcome , Looks good !
  8. What we think are simple fixes to the mold may take hours . It is hardly ever a quick fix when you are working with tool steel . On the other end we have to remember what is called Die Lock . This is when the top of the mold is overhanging the bottom .The perfect example is A Tupperware Lid .Remember they are a soft plastic, it will come out of mold and not break. That snap when they close is what would happen to the model car. To get away from this they have to use what is called a slide in the mold . When the plastic cool the slides move out so the part can be taken out of the mold without breaking. That being said it is very costly to have these in a mold. First everything that moves breaks sometime in its life , This leads to down time and loss of money . The slides take longer to operate (cycle time ) so less product per the hour = loss of money. The higher the detail the more the molds cost to produce the higher the detail the more to fix the mold after you run it for awhile.
  9. Great looking car ! According to Hemmings Classic Car Checker produced 20,000 cars from 1922 -1982 . I would have thought they had made 10 times that many of just the Marathon .
  10. The paint looks great Ira and thanks for the info on the Squlpey.
  11. Looks with a of the mods done so far.
  12. Andy they would have to pay by the tire not by the kit . Just think if the cost of the kit went up 4 to 8 dollars just to have a name on them. Also you could not have two different names in the same box they would frown on that.
  13. Wipers , if it is covered up I do not care about the detail . The scale factor adds to the cost to make things more detailed .
  14. After talking to some friends about forums in general I have come to this conclusion . Reading a forum is like reading a book, in the sense that when we read what someone else has written it is our mind that puts the spin on it . Sometimes we read it as sarcasm and brush it off as fun or sometimes we read it as a punch in the gut depends on the day . On a good day we my just read it as a great way to help our skills . This forum is a great place to learn as I have learned a ton of things about my ability or lack of , that is why I do not have any pictures up . Why was I rambling oh yes if someone wants to leave the ugly pin marks it is up to them . Yes they look better without them but maybe they just need to be helped in the direction of a good how to tip to fill these .
  15. I thought the world was coming to an end when i had to buy my first 5 dollar 1/25 1/24 scale kit!! Back in 79 or 80 .
  16. Just seem to talk forever to see the new kits hit the shelf anymore. I must be getting old ! LOL I can understand the many things that hold up a kit ,money ,run time in the machine , art work , packaging , the forever changes to the molds , shipping time form across the pond and the manufacture approval of the subject.
  17. Great looking car . Great package , engine ,wheels and color.
  18. Looks great !
  19. Digging the Olds with the Olds power !
