1. Hi David and welcome to the best model car forum around. (IMOP) What part of Phoeinx are you in? I just sent you a PM. Marty
2. Gee who could this be??????? I'm sure I'll see you tomorrow for the build session......
3. Wow that looks great!! Has more detail then I think I'll ever do on a model, but it sure paid off!
4. No I sure don't as the ones I have are on my "To do list" Thanks!! The Fury is one I did as a kid, I think I was like 10 or 12? I did it up as a black & white. And the stretch wheel base is the work of my good friend Mike!
5. So over the weekend between putting Halloween stuff up and working on my Dodge short bed 4X4 I got a little side tracked when looking for some parts and ended up getting this started, well really a good friend of mine came over and was wanting something to do because he didn't bring his model over, so I told him that I had been waiting to build a car hauler using some of my Dodge truck stuff and the wedge hauler from model king. And this is what has been done so far, still lots more to do but I think it's coming out looking pretty good.
6. My all time favorite's are Bullitt, Ronin, Vanishing point oh and Dirty Mary & Crazy Larry. There are a lot of other ones that are good, but those are the ones I like the most. Marty
7. You did an outstanding job on that Duster!! Makes me want to build the one I have!! It looks great and all the detail stuff you did paid off. Marty
8. Thanks for the info Terry and your right that is a great cause and I'm glad to hear your bride as beat it, I just entered the contest. Marty
9. Yeah for some reason every time I looked at the truck thinking what color I wanted to paint it, I just kept coming up with the blue & white combo that I did. And thanks for all off the feed back guys!! I like the wheels in the 1st photo too, but I only have 4 of them and I want to put in a bed mounted spare and leave the tail gate off. I guess I could buy another set of those wheels?
10. Yes it does, the kit comes with 2 dashboards and I used the one that looked like a newer. And it's just the way the photo was taken as to why you can't see anything on it.
11. Your truck looks great!! Nice color combo and after seeing your makes me want to get one of the 5 kits I have out and start building one!!
12. This month our club's (www.moonlightmodelers.com)theme was "Cars & Trucks of AZ" and this is what I built for the meeting. It's not 100% right but then again they have some 60 + Jeeps and they are not all the same. I started with the Dukes of Hazzard Daisy Jeep and added 3 rear seats and give it a little lift and made the top which I plan on re-doing some time as it's not the way I want it. But over all I think it came out OK?
13. Thanks!! The wheels are from the MPC Dodge 4X4 truck kits. See below photo. These are not my models, but I wish they were!!!
14. Man you did an awesome job with that kit!! Looks like an one I've seen up in Prescott, AZ at an antique shop even has the same kind of wheels on it.
15. Well I took this model back out of the box and started working on it and got around to putting some paint on it. Take a look and let and let me know what you think? Still trying different wheels on it to see what looks best. Marty
16. Bill, Thank you for sharing this with all of us! I've pick up some great tips and will be watching this to the end. Thank you!!
17. Nice!! they had roll bars, but nothing to keep them in..................
18. So who is going to build this one?
19. Thanks for the link!! I had forgotten about that site and had it saved on my old lap top and can now add it to my favorites on my new lap top!!
20. I got back into building model cars in Nov. 08 and joined a model club here in Phoenix called Moonlight Modelers and have been having a blast with them! I'd to share our club web site I did for them with everyone here and let me know what you think of it? There is a web poll and a guest book you can sign. you can see it hereMoonlight Modelers Club site
21. Yeah I've been on those sites and they don't have what I'm looking for. Here is a photo of a Phoenix Police I want to do. Thanks, Marty
22. I'm looking for some police car decals and I have found a lot, but not much for AZ city & towns. I'd also like some for older police cars from the late '60's & '70's. Thanks, Marty
23. WOW!! that is one great looking El Camino!! Marty
