Sorry Rick, I missed what you asked me about the '57 chevy! Yes they are Edsel grills from a AMT grille & bumper parts pack. I started building it way back in 1987 and some day I'll get her done.

I never thought about doing that? Might have to try it on another build. This one I'm going to keep it simple. -

After reading this post I went and opened all 8 of my JoHan and and took a photo of them, and yes all will be built at some point in time. 3 of them I've had for some 15 to 20 years!! Does anyone want to try and guess which kits they are? LOL Anyways here is what I have. -
Ken, I'm glad I could help you out with getting that kit and can't wait to see what you do with it!
-
Thanks for the info. I'm going to a swap meet tomorrow so I'll have to keep my eye's out for that kit!!
-
What kit is that and how do I get my hands on one? Looking real good and can't wait to see it done.
-
I went through some stuff in my garage a while back and I took some photos and have been thinking about posting them and thought I might as well show them off!! From what I can remember these were all built when I was a young teen when I lived back in Pontiac, MI Anyone remember this kit and when it came out? This one I had did for my dad. A 53' ford pickup This one was built for my dad as well And I have more that I haven't taken out yet to take photos of yet, most of them have parts that need to be replaced.

You can almost hear that thing coming down the street!! Very nice build for sure!

I have to tell that is one very nice build and the paint job is awesome! And I was looking at it and thinking it would make a very nice desk top photo! Marty

tuffone20 replied to tuffone20's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I haven't done a lot with it yet. Did some sanding and stuff on it. Still not sure if I'll go with this cab or go back to a stock cab? But here is an updated photo of it. Oh and for what it will be hauling around? -
James, you wouldn't happened to have a spare slant six motor would ya??? I'm going to be needing one down the road some day for a 74' Duster I want to build.

I have this posted in the truck area but thought I'd post it here too. I picked up 3 '55 chevy truck kits and I thought I'd use them to make a cool car hauler and today when I was looking at it and came up with doing this with the cab! Check out the photos and let me know what you think. Thanks, Marty

Well I went out to my work area and was looking at this build when I got an hair up you know where and starting cutting up some cabs and this is what I ended up some with! Let me what you guys think? I left room behind the cab and the hauler to add a storge space & and roof rack for tires? -

Thanks Mike, I'll check it that site out. Not sure if I want to go crazy with the paint job as I'm really just getting into using an airbrush. I planing on using some ALCLAD chrome on the frame and here is a photo of the 2 sets of wheels I'm thinking about using just not sure which set yet. -
I know a hobby shop close to my house needs to learn some customer service!! I went into a Hobby Town USA and was in there for some 20 mins looking for some BMF & ACL-107 and the 2 people working one of which I think is the manager were far to busy trying to sell another customer an R/C Heli that they never even said hi when I walked by them or ask me if I needed any help! And today I went to a hobby shop some 30 plus miles from my house and they said hi when I came in the door and asked if I needed anything and where ever helpful and because of they outstanding service I ended up spending $80 there and was even told that because of how far I had to drive to get there to call a weeks or so before coming if there was anything I needed that they might not have but could order for me! Oh and the hobby shop is Hobby Depot in Tempe, AZ
