  1. Sadly no. But, it gives you some safety net for the transatlantic shipping.
  2. Fernando Pinto does nice stuff. I've got some of his kits and wires, and they're nice. Price reasonable too. From Portugal, but shipping and transaction quite nice. Repeat buyer here, HTH
  3. There were links with pics in 3 of those Googled for you. With . I have same links bookmarked. You're welcome Here's a thread link here to one of multiple threads about Norm's great stuff. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/?showtopic=26709 Here's another I just found, more recent than 2010 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38706 There's a long-standing joke about what is URL of Norm's website on another board. Forgot Dr. Cranky vid embed Dr. C has 2013 catalog. And it was funny. #3 on list I posted.
  4. Put X-braces on new tree with non-continental kit bumper? But then if they do a Nomad, it'll have a continental kit.... A GIF of Ed and the Bug falling apart at the show would be awesome. NNL's funniest moments.
  5. Isn't the X separate on the 55 BA convert? Couldn't find chassis pics at moment, but recall pace car was that way. Maybe they can toss in NON-continental kit bumper? First issue of 55 had connie kit only as well. Or at least make it an option for people to add the ugly thing?
  6. Can I use this as a sig line please? What Art said. However, I think they have VW license already for new Bug and the 2 Beetles, thought R-G may have the old Beetles. Ferrari just hammered Model Factory Hiro, so something is up with licensing in general. I'd think after having 30 pages of rants here about a Fox, I wouldn't run back for more. Hopefully a real moderator is around this time I'm still waiting for a nicer front end for the 69-70 Mustangs, not sure what plaint is allowed by Chuck K's blog I haven't finished the first issues so no rush Fun to watch stomping feet and waving arms though.
  7. Hi Art, TJ Don't forget the great resin conversions and kits by AAM, Etzel, Modelmartin, Scalecraft. Most very hard to find. I claimed Art as dependent way back, as I grabbed every Duesy and Cord he and Lee Baker RIP did. AAM: Cord Sportsman, Beverly 810 slope back, Westchester 812 Trunkback, Duesy Judkins 3-w coupe, Weymann boattail Whittell, Murphy Disappearing Top Whittell, Sedan/Limo, Figoni Tapertail. I probably forgot something. Etzel: Indy Duesenbergs, Miller Modelmartin: Mudd Coupe Duesy, Center-door '15 T, Couplet '15 T Scalecraft: Tapertail, Weymann boattail, Mudd Coupe, Beverly, Westchester, Sportsman, MG PA Airline for TC, more. Long defunct, hard to get even when casting. Don't forget the very nice Heller BMW 328. Stock version and single windshield versions both. Additionally the Monogram MG-TC and Heller BMW Dixi, Citroen Dual cowl, taxi, and C-cab. Burago also did Type 55 diecast that can be made quite acceptable with work. Southeast Finecast does a Bugatti 43 too, basically a 4 seat 35. Lee
  8. OMG . That Bantam roof looks like it's chopped 2", and the reveal molding droops front to rear . Horrors. The sunroof is too far back too. Wait, what? Nevermind. Looks awesome, never got an original. Think a Potvin would be cool on a flathead in this thing. Hope people don't whine like Twihards about this kit.
  9. Lots of casters with pretty pictures on sites. Good luck getting parts. Mention some, you get 8 pages of rants and closed thread. Some great casters have pictures but nothing of most recent stuff. Some you find pics on Ebay or on Facebook, but god forbid the rants about Facebook around here. Still, some only like restaurants with pictures of the food too. Food doesn't look like pictures when it hits table. If it's a kit part, it looks like the kit part. If it's a custom part, it looks like the 1:1. Save any photos of tires and wheels you find, I can stand in front of the table for decades and not find all I need. And nope, it's not 1957. Rude to say it is, or imply about Don and Carol. They pretty much set the standards for casting and customer service for decades.
  10. Don and Carol are the kindest, hardest working couple I know, and I'm happy to call them friends for 20-25 years. Never ever had anything less than a perfect part, packed and labeled by Carol so never damaged, and turnaround time that's fast. If you need a kit restoration part, or tires, or complete kit, it's perfect. Searchable catalog is nice. Pics would be nice, but no time, nor server, and about nine bajillion parts not worth effort. They do shows and the French thread has some great photos. Also, if you see something you like, don't wait. Molds wear out, like the 61-63 shortbox F-100's, the 61 300 Chryslers, a few others I've missed. Try some small parts or tires first, then start endorsing your paychecks to them.
  11. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.modelhaus.com%2Findex.php%3Fy%3D%26c%3D4016%26pt%3D%26part%3D1%26Submit%3DSearch Modelhaus catalog index AMC
  12. Maybe redundant, but here's a list of kits I know: Monogram Duesenbergs- Weymann Torpedo Phaeton; Town Car; Roadster; metal boattail. Bandai Sedan. Art Anderson AAM had a great line of resin bodies mostly mastered by Lee Baker RIP. Revised and corrected body of metal boattail (had clamshell vents on hood; Weymann Boattail (black and white); Franay tapertail; Gurney-Nutting Boattail (orange and black), 4-door Sedan, and Judkins 3-window coupe. Also had J engine and hood conversion, and disc wheels from Weymann Boattail. South African company ScaleKraft had Mudd coupe, Franay, some PE wires (someone stateside had some as well, were $60/set IIRC) Packards: Boattail, Phaeton, and completely different metal dual cowl phaeton (lots of different parts, many not interchangeable) Rolls Roadster and Phaeton (+ Italeri RR) Cord 812 Phaeton; AAM 810 Beverly smoothback and 812 trunkback sedans; 812 Sportsman roadster; awful Pyro Lincoln 41 Continental (someone did resin coupe) and awful Pyro 48; MPC 28 Roadster and Phaeton Pyro 35 Auburn Boattail Chrysler roadster and convertible sedan MPC; Italeri version of convertible sedan Johan 31 Caddy roadster, Phaeton, Towncar; Italeri 33 Town Car and Convertible Sedan; Monogram 32 Phaeton Bugatti 35B Monogram; Italeri Royales Coupe Napolean and another, Lindberg Victoria; Heller 50 Mercedes SSK Lindberg; Johan 500K coupe and roadster; Monogram 540K Cab A and Coupe; Heller 500K Special Roadster, 170 Sedan Delivery and Sedan; Italeri 540K Cabriolet B Heller Alfa 1750; Bentley Blower; BMW Dixi and 328; Delahaye; Delage D8SS; Talbot-Lago; Citroen 5CV several versions. 15CV sedan Probably forgot some, and didn't cover all the resin. All 1/24-1/25 Ooops, didn't see ya Art. How are ya, it's the doc. I won't mention the Mormon Meteor project :^)
  13. Paul Jaray designed it. He actually did understand aero quite well. Made it a bit too easy Next time. Nice work. You're up.
  14. Neither. Eastern Europe. 1.7L 4. Built 3. Designer well-known, far ahead of their time.
  15. Try this. Not North American
  16. It's not a Kurtis, I posted a few back?
  17. Kurtis Kraft 500 S roadster, probably 53
  18. 2 pipes, ugly taillights, has to be a 73
  19. That switch to TKM really was a poor business choice. Don or Norm would fix it right up.
  20. Dead birds, dead board? Coincidence-I think not.
  21. OK, tried website, hasn't been updated in ages. Tried Ebay member #, zip. Tried facebook partial link, age not available. I'd buy stuff if some of these guys actually could make product visible online. Missing Link, Reliable, some others all have stuff I'd pop, but '08 websites and hunting on Ebay isn't working. Maybe a link to a storefront? SC360 and Coronet cvt both great.Â
  22. Congrats. Could you please update the website or post a list, or anything? I hear about lots of products, and I have no time for Ebay hunting. TIA K
  23. Rear wheelwells look too tall compared to trim strip on lower side of van. Your pic makes them look better to me , but here's another photo with stock ride height. They looked long too, but relations to window and side vent look OK. Guess I was too negative  when I compared the 4 kits. Front wheelwells have far more space between them and front door bottom edge, maybe that made rears look worse. Thanks Luc
  24. US bumpers have over-riders on them, Euros don't. http://www.busselecta.com/bus/ This is a great site too for most the other body styles. http://www.volkswarenhaus.de/bugselecta.htm
