There was an article for assembling the Detail Master seat belts that made the job easier.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been using Plasti-Coat T- 235 for years. But the last case I bought must of changed the formula. Take longer to dry and has a tendency to clog the nozzle. Bummer for soure.
I had any early 1979 El Camino Super Sport that had the 350 and automatic. It also had a split bench seat. I like to build a replica of the car. I have the Revell 78 low rider which I think can be built stock. Did any release have a bench seat?
Thanks everyone for their replies. I have been looking at the spindle and I need to lower (move up) the mounting tab about 3 MM which is basically turning the spindle upside down.
I going to try some of these ideas and see which works best.
