  1. Thanks for the link. I see why this works better than the vacuum form method I tried yesterday.
  2. I need to vacuum form a windshield from and existing kit windshield. I tried one earlier today but it was not fully formed and it left some residue on the clear plastic part. Is there some prep I should have done 1st? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks. I just found the 2018 version at Model Round-Up and it is in stock. Boy it is a lot more expensive that when I bought it in 2000. LOL
  4. Where can I get the latest edition of Model Car Directory by Bill Coulter
  5. So yes the activator is a little thicker. I wanted to make sure it hasn't gone bad?
  6. I have some of this 3 part system that I was getting ready to use. The activator is in a Green Bottle. Is it supposed to be thicker than the clear? I wonder because I have had it for at least a year. I am just trying to make sure it will still work ok.
  7. Looks great. Thanks for the tip.
  8. Are you saying it is the water contaminants that is causing the spotting? I thought it was the glue from the decals?
  9. If it doesn't come off with a damp cloth I use some mild dishwashing soap and my fingers to clean up those areas then a thorough rinsing to get rid of the soap.
  10. JC the way to do this is to sand the bottom of the chrome 1st then come back and do the top. This will keep the sharpe peak where the chrome was.
  11. Nice Progress.
  12. Nice start.

  16. Kool project. I saw this car run in Dallas and win the event in 1969. Looking forward to more updates.
  17. I will try this step before I go to the can video to get the paint out. Thanks to everyone for there posts to help with this issue. I prefer using this Plasti-Kote T235 primer but this last batch they must have changed the formula and it is really clogs easily and takes a lot longer to dry.
