  1. What I did was use some ultra thin thread soaked in CA. I was about the right size to match the weld bead on the rest of the chassis. Thanks to everyone who posted.
  2. Any suggestions on how to replicate "weld bead" on a chassis in 1/25?
  3. Is that a Hussien?? I think that is how it is spelled. Can Am?
  4. Marauder for Mark G's Trans KIt? I like to have that resin kit in my collection
  5. And could post some of the article about Big John's 61 Corvette gasser?
  6. I just got my order from MCG and it is the large face Autometer. Has anyone seen this tach in anything other than plastic?
  7. Please check our website for details. http://www.themcma.com/html/AboutUs.htm
  8. Thanks Lyle. I will order one of those.
  9. Here is something better a link to their brand new website: http://www.kcslammers.com/slammerswebsite_files/Page648.htm
  10. Bob is correct about box stock. It took me several years to master box stock but I finally broke through when I switched to lacquer from an air brush. I still build at least 1 box stock car each year just to remind myself what the basics are.
  11. Brian is this the one Revell is going to release?
  12. Any pictures of the Ferrari 250 GTO????
  13. Derek first and formost is the quality of the build. Unless you are at the Bill Geary level of model building forget opening anything. I have judged many shows over the years it is the "quality" of the build in the areas of Fit (no sprues or parting lines), Finish (glass smooth paint, no glue marks, no trash in the paint) that makes a quality contest model. Build a box stock (exactly as the kit instructions tell you) and learn the fit & finish before tackling more complcated build procedures. Here is one of my recent models:
  14. My 2007 Build are: 2005 Corvette Daytona Sunset Orange (painted ready for final assembly) 2005 Ford GT Tungsten w/ painted Silver stripes (painted ready for final assembly) 1961 Big John Mazmanian Corvette Gasser 1965 Cobra Daytona from Historic Miniatures.
  15. The only laquer paint job that has cracked on me is one from Dupli Color spray cans that I painted way too thick. Should have allowed more gas time between coats.
  16. The 62 Bel Aire from AMT has the correct air cleaner that takes the air from the right side of the cowl.
  17. The most import parts to me in the 66 Impala were the Factory Correct 1963 Mystery (Rat Motor) headers. These were factory cast iron exhausts dumping into collectors that were run in 1963. No other kit ever had these parts.
  18. Thanks Bill. That's What I thought.
  19. Were the interiors the same "Tubine Bronze" as the exterior? The pictures seem to show that.
  20. Nice ruse Bob. I know you posted that because of the NOPI girls!
  21. I love the Rack & Pinion you are doing for this car too!
