  1. My next attempt would be to leave it on the supports for a few days. You might be correct about the daylight causing the problem. Do you have the ability to core out the frame rails to the top to reduce the will thickness?
  2. At what stage is the warp occurring? When still on the print platform and supports before wash and post-cure When still on the print platform and supports after wash but before post-cure When still on the print platform and supports after wash and post-cure After removal from the print platform and supports Also just curious, what CAD are you using for your design work? Carmak
  3. IRONY!! Being the owner of a 68 Coronet convertible I have been on the lookout for affordable kits or builders since the mid 80's. I have found and restored a couple builders over the years but never a kit until now. Of course is was just a couple weeks after it was announced that a re-tooled version was on the way. Found locally "in the wild" as part a very reasonably priced lot of models from various eras. The 68 Coronet is missing the interior tub (I have a spare) and the 68 Barracuda is missing the hood other wise they look complete. Carmak
  4. How about a "Parts Pack" with the following parts designed to fit the current 72 C-10 kit: 69-70 C-10 Grille 67-68 C-10 Grille 67-72 GMC Grille (I know there are differences) 67-68 Sloped hood 69-70 Bowtie emblem for the hood GMC Tailgate A topper
  5. Looking back to 1966 MPC had the 32/33 Chevy roadster/panel, the 28 Ford Sedan/Woody/Truck and the King T. The 15 Chevy proposal aligns with what was going on at the time with kustom rods and multiple bodies.
  6. This release will make the demo derby builders really happy!
  7. Hard to tell in this picture but the wagon has even more room for rear tires. I sold this one about 10 years ago and wish I had it back.
  8. This is a picture of my still not completed 68 Coronet 500 convertible with the original green top in "crush" material. The green top was a one year only deal. The windshield of 68-70 B-body convertibles is taller the hardtops and sedans. When the B-body was facelifted from 67 to 68 the hardtops/sedans got a new lower roof and shorter windshield. Since the convertible and station wagon were low volume sellers they were left unchanged with the taller windshield. Craig
  9. There is a YouTube series about the guy that bought the car. He is a Pontiac guy that has a nice GT37. He made the car drivable (not really street legal). He replaced the engine/trans and rear end to do it. The roof on the car is really bad and I think the chassis is twisted. It looks like it was rolled before being shot up. There is an engine teardown episode and it is REALLY nasty. Some of the pushrods are rusted thru.
  10. I got this 72 RR from the same person as the 62 Olds. I kinda like it as a survivor so it will just go onto the shelf.
  11. There is a Jay Leno's Garage (on YouTube) episode that features one of these. Worth the watch.
  12. Just got this on the road. Original Nevada car (solid body / baked interior). 1960 Buick LeSabre.
  13. Just got this 62 Olds 88 as part of a stash of models. There is a corvette front clip welded to the front of it. I have many models from this builder, his building skills range from poor to fair but his hand painting skills were solidly fair and creative. Since I am not sure what to do with this one right now I am just going to bag it and tag it.
  14. My son was involved in FIRST robotics and our small town school went to the worlds competition for the first time when he was on the team. I know VEX is not FIRST but they are both good programs! Carmak
  15. The wheels look like the wheels that came in the original issue AMT 69 Camaro. Very cool build.
  16. The plan is to restore most of them. I have traded a couple to local model friends and I think I am going to leave the 71 Duster and the 72 RR as is. Carmak
  17. I found these locally over the last couple weeks. 71 Mustang is built (in the box) (MPC) Super Teen is just a very cool empty box 71 Camaro is partially built (MPC) 73 Camaro Warlord (MPC) 72 Road Runner (hand painted Sox & Martin) (MPC) 65 Imperial (AMT) 65 Chevelle (Time Machine AWB) (AMT) 67 Toronado (MPC) 71 Duster (MPC) 70 Chevy C-10 (AMT) 71 Torino (ElToro) (AMT) 69 Grand Prix (needs stock bumpers) (MPC) 67 Barracuda still has the slant 6 in it (missing the intake) (AMT) 66 Cadillac Ambulance (JoHan) 71 GTO (MPC)
  18. I also have some random pieces that are molded in what I would call a "mid purge" aqua green. Possibly transitioning over to the turquoise color.
  19. Has anybody done a side by side comparison of the "too many projects" and the Futurattraction Fairmonts?
  20. This is the ghost of the 66 C-10. I received it from the friend of a former ERTL employee. It is a test shot (complete with ejector pin rust stains) from the 90's. I have everything except the tires and glass. I have been told that this test shot is most likely associated with American Satco and a limited run of 66 C-10 promo re-issues. At the time of the sampling the tooling was possibly owned by American Satco so it is unknow where the tool is now (Round 2 may or may not have it). I welcome any corrections to the story as I have it so far. Carmak
  21. The 66 C-10 mold survived at least into the 90's and is quite possibly still around. This is a mid 90's test shot of the mold I got from a former ERTL employee.
  22. Tim, As a lover of Mopar C-bodies seeing these builds is wonderful. What adds to it for me is that I have a mostly unrestored Citron Gold (code ZZ1) 66 Newport 4drHT. I like the story and description for each car. I have a couple 66 Monacos in the que for restoration and I appreciate seeing a corrected example. Lastly I noticed that you replicated the bamboo inserts on the door panels, very nice. Craig
  23. If you want Round 2 to clone the 68 Coronet go out and buy the 63 Nova wagon and the two versions of the 64 Cutlass. The more of those that are sold the better the business case Round 2 will have for the 68 Coronet. I have happily bought multiples of the Nova and Cutlass and I will buy multiples of the Coronet if given the chance.
  24. Welcome to Iowa from Iowa (Iowa City)! After moving this year I hope to get unpacked and start building this winter. Craig
  25. 30 years ago when I started as a design engineer for a medical device company I would scratch build my own small concept parts in ABS plastic. In the mid nineties we got an SLA machine and my skills became obsolete (at work). Carmak P.S. Sledsel, I love your 58. Saw it a few years ago at the Des Moines Good Guys and talked to you for a couple minutes about which headlight bezels you used.
