  1. Hello, I know this has been asked before, I have never used this product and needed to know how to use it. Do you spray it diluted or straight out of the bottle. And does anyone have a tutorial on how to use future. Also what do you use to clean your airbrush after use. Any help would be appreciated Thanks John
  2. another one out of the ballpark. Excellent work. Anyone can build a model out of the box, but it takes a true master to make one from scratch.
  3. All your build are awesome, love your work.
  4. Nice, I love the color
  5. This is where it sits now,I could not use the chevy truck frame(sit way to high). The tires and wheels are just being used for mock up, I will be putting the wide whites back on.
  6. Oh no I'm not done yet!!. Made a new interior tub using pieces from both models (59 elcamino and 64 chev truck),and added pieces of plastic sheet where needed.Made new fender wells and roughed in the bed.
  7. Got a little progress done so I thought I would share it with you. Modified the grill opening added two pieces of plastic to extent it out. Also modified the 59 elcamino chassis. had to make it shorter by about 1/4 inch to fit the wheelbase.added plastic where needed.
  8. Thanks guys for all the positive responses. Now back to work
  9. Seen this in the current issue in Model Cars Magazine thought I would try my luck at building it. Hopefully the artist does't mind. Took a 64 chevy truck sectioned it two places, cut the top off, replaced with 59 elcamino top, cut out front and rear bumper areas (hopefully it looks like the concept).Parts box wheels. Tires are from the 64 chevy. Still working on the inside of the bed. Here is the original artwork. And the model
  10. Had a little bit of a setback (just a small one), while working on the frame for the roadster I accidently spilled liquid cement on my work bench. I manage to save the most of the model, but one piece fell victim to the cement. Take a look. But I did make a new one, just have to do a little more sanding to get the final shape. Liquid cement is some powerful stuff.
  11. not much to update. had a few minutes on my hands so I thought I would make a new grille and headlight bucket for the roadster. Thanks for looking
  12. They are for the tail lights.
  13. And a few more pictures.
  14. Did alittle more work to the body. I changed the side coves, added the side vents from a C5 corvette and added the headrest area also taken the corvette. Modified a dash out of a 53 ford to fit. changed the dash to look like the headrest area. I dont know if I like the Alumna grille so I thought maybe I would make a new one and put the headlights behind the grille. Also made the taillight areawith tubing. Any Ideas or imput would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.
  15. NICE, color, wheels, and slammed to the ground could'nt ask for more.
  16. That came out nice.Another concept that should have been made atleast one year.
  17. Here ya go. First get the wheels and sleeves (your choice) both are pegasus products, others will work also. Then insert wheel into sleeve, you may have to do a little sanding to make them fit (more work). And wahla 2 different size wheels. Hope this helps.
  18. Thanks guys for the comments. GTMust I am looking for some narrower front wheels, but I am still leaning toward the hubless wheels, here is a picture of a t-bird I did awhile back, everyone seem to like the look of the wheels. John Cole the wheels will be sticking out about 50%,gotta have the stability u know And to crazyjim the wire wheels are pegasus the rear ones are inserted into sleeves.
  19. I finally got to do a little work to this model.I did make some changes to the body, I shorten the length, cut out the rear wheel openings, still debating on the wheel position either tuck in as the pictures show or partially exposed. Also I put a side cove into the body (hard to tell in the pictures but they are there). Now do I want to use the hubless wheel design or do I want to use some wheels? Enjoy pictures. Now with the hubless wheels
  20. Its all about personal taste. I have painted models from eveything from rattle cans to pouring the clear on with a paint gun. I think I have had better luck with the rattle cans.Build model to your own taste, not to win at shows, you have more fun this way.here are a few of mine, painted from a can and paint gun,you be the judge. Rattle Can-Tamiya paint Rattle can-Tamiya paint Automotive paint - Allied with paint gun- urethane clear Automotive paint - Allied with paint gun- urethane clear
  21. I have always like these, my first car was a 61 buick special. This is Kool!!
  22. I remember the corvette you did, very nice work. if I am not mistaken yours was the futuristic corvette that you formed a new body.Your model gave me the idea to build this one. Thanks
  23. The engine will be visible through the rear hatch, I am not sure if the engine in the pictures will be the engine that I use. I want something a little more exotic, but the engine will be based on a corvette engine, not a foreign car.
  24. thanks everyone for the kind words, maybe I will try to get something done on this after the hollidays.
  25. your idea is tempting. but it will cost you $.02
