this a part of the "to do" line up...all needed to be done yesterday! the chevelle is next up for molding as most of the others still need work..ah the life of a resin caster.... -
finally.. some progress on the el camino..

the el is underway -
thanks for the review vince. i can address a few of your concerns, the headlites are molded in an open face mold that gets sanded, this kinda replicates the whiteish look of a sealed beam head lamp. many vans of the era didnt have chrome bumpers and the grilles on these were either white or aluminum. i did miss some spots while polishing but, i had to leave something for youse guys to do!

better if you try the website http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/

chris built world class models for the company. paul does all the casting, engraving, decals, diorama items...therefore freeing up chris to be able to have built the models.

glad you like em john, but those are missing links kits!

tkm is more folk art than anything else. a number of years ago i was in conversations with a guy overseas that had mastered a 46 dodge. but he had some bad dealings with another american caster and decided he didnt trust anyone stateside to cast for him.

d.r.a.g. was going to go, but our trusty van is not so trusty anymore..maybe next year!

Resin Bodies vs. Normal Plastic Bodies
jeffb replied to Newbs99's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
i drop resin bodies all the time. it depends on what resin they're made out of -
its also for the protection of the seller. without a tracking number, the buyer can get his money back from paypal, and the seller is out the item plus whatever shipping costs and if its an ebay sale it can cost you bad feedback
-
check usps.com. priority shipping to canada is around 35-38 bucks. 1st class is cheaper, but the risks are much higher.
