  1. Nothing here either. My Nigerian princess didn't have any trouble finding me. I'll remember YOU when I'm rich and famous!
  2. BOB, I am glad I got the chance to spend time with you on the phone this past summer. It was great to talk to you, like talking to an old friend. I'm pretty sure we met once in San Jose, at the NNL-West. If I remember correctly, I was talking to Randy about favorite boxes, and I mentioned the 57 Nomad. Randy took me over and introduced me to you for the "rest of the story". Thanks for the Revellion print, and thanks for your time at Revell. Through your work, the box art and models, I became involved with what has turned into a lifelong hobby. Rest in Peace, my friend, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Regards, Ron Garbez PS - I'm just assuming you can see the message board up there. RG
  3. I'm going with model. No real insight, just kind of hits me as a model. And I'm probably wrong!
  4. 51. Folks gave up on telling me to "Grow up" a long time ago. I refuse...
  5. I'D LIKE TO GET ON THAT LIST! PLEASE? (Yeah, I'm shouting. Sorry. i guess I should stop by more often...)
  6. I'm going with real this time. Almost too clean to be real, but what the hey. I think I said model on the last one, but I have no record.
  7. "A/FX N Scale Resin has been sold to another proprietor. When he gets everything set up where he can work I'm sure he will set up another web site. He will also take care of any old order's." That's a pretty tall order in itself. You think "he" realizes the scope? I know I'm all in with AFX for $95.00. And will we be able to find the new site?
  8. Great builds, Sully and Albert! I'd like a couple of those kits, one for the owner and one for me, to build this. A fellow Mopar Alley club member:
  9. Cool, it looks like it would be worth the trip. Thanks.
  10. Last pics- Mopar Alley Picnic, Saturday Ssptember 6th, 2008. I really like this '62 Dart: more pics at the link: Mopar Alley Picnic 2008; Santa Clara, CA Enjoy!
  11. I went to Reno/Sparks over Labor Day weekend for the Nugget Rib Cookoff. I always try to make a pilgrimage to the National Auto Museum to visit the remnants of Bill Harrah's wonderful collection. I am glad they did save a piece of it. They had a pretty cool early Porsche exhibit. More at the link: National Auto Museum 2008
  12. There were some great cars: A couple of hundred pics at the link: West Coast Nationals 2008 Enjoy!
  13. Menlo Park and RIPON. OK, Aaron, I'm real familiar with Menlo Park. been here the better part of fifty years. Where's Ripon? I'm off to mapquest...
  14. Here's one like I mentioned: from here: Jalopnik.com I really like it, of course...
  15. I like it too! I also like the idea that you are building a 1:1 based on the model based on the drawing! Kind of why I now have a '70 Jeepster and a '64 A100. Loved the models of 'em when I was a kid.
  16. I'm going with real. I remember seeing another 1:1 knock off done in that manner...
  17. If the keys had been in it, I could have drove this one away last Friday: Pretty close. See more at: Pleasanton GoodGuys
  18. The '57 Nomad is also my favorite. If I remember the story correctly, they photographed the rims on Bob Paeth's Rambler in the parking lot. I talked to Bob on Monday about the Revellion prints, I should have thought to ask the question. Other favs are the original '53 Chevy Sedan Delivery, Miss Deal Stude, and the Triumph Drag Bike. I think the last two at least had connections to Mr. Paeth, if he didn’t do them outright. I love this topic.
  19. Beautiful work Brendan.
  20. I was going to go with real, based on the trim piece above the cove not lining up. Then I changed my mind and voted model, I thought the front bumper looked a little thin. In other words, I have no idea!
  21. I went to the Camco 2nd Annual Car Show and Barbeque in San Carlos Thursday nite. I had a good time. This was fun. Free car show. Free food for the 1st 100 drivers. I'm not even sure what Camco Furnace does yet, besides put on a good car show. Pics at the link. Cool: For Sale: Camco Car Show Link HERE!
  22. I had a feeling you'd enjoy that. Nice to see a survivor. i'm going to another show today, if it is there, I'll try and get an engine shot... Thanks
  23. Last Wednesday there was a car show at the local T.G.I.Friday's. I didn't get many pics, and the quality isn't up there, but oh well. check them out. I did have a lot of favorites, though. Henry J, 56 Chevy, 55 Chev Gasser, and this one: Here's the Link: TGIFriday's July 08 Car Show, San Mateo, CA
