  1. Here's a few links for tools I use: Tamiya bending pliers - for photo etch parts. Many hobby stores sell these. Xuron Professional Photo Etch Scissor Sometimes I just use an xacto knife to cut off the frets. Bending tool: Micro-Mark has a similar one for less money. Those are pretty much the basic tools to make things easier. I've also just used a metal edge to bend P.E.
  2. Thanks to everyone for their gracious comments. Hope to meet some of you at NNL East.
  3. They definably have personalities!
  4. I'm in love with those skirts!
  5. That looks just right on wheels!
  6. I could stay up any night listemning to T-Rex
  7. Unfortunately, Neil, I'm not going to be able to make MassCar this year ... too many commitments. It will be at NNL East.
  8. Nice job on that . everything looks right!
  9. That's a cool event van .. and exactly what my daughter used it for. The tires are : "a 1 Ton truck tire" from Ma's Resin.
  10. nice model to work on .. and with a 6! Engine is looking good.
  11. What I've seen of it only saves things to their servers and not as a 3d mesh on your computer. Is this correct?
  12. Here's the 1:1 And some of the interior:
  13. It's been a long haul but the last piece went on My Daughter's GMC Van today. She had this monster during school in the '90's and her take on a Hippie Van traveled to many a Grateful Dead event. I made it from an A-Team kit with many a modification, including cut out side windows, opening rear doors, reconfigured dash and console, 8 lug wheels (by Ryan Silva), interior side panels, hand sewn bean bag chair and many more. You can see all at the "work in progress here".
  14. Mine doesn't seem as thick as you describe. It's almost runny in fact.
  15. You can find them in various kits, but, sorry, I can't give you any specifics. It would be too much anyway to get a kit just for a master cylinder. This is something you could try your hand at scratch building as it's not real complicated to make one from a cylinder and bits and pieces. You seem to remember the car you're building vividly .. you remember how the master cylinder looked?
  16. That's one mean looking Ford! more pics, please!
  17. I like the color and the red decal trim ,, really nice. That paint does look like the kind that falls down in photos but is spectacular in person.
  18. Great job on that!

The more I look, the more little details I see!
  20. I don't build 10 kits a month so it's pretty much one time only. There's always a reason or story to every build I do so the story's over once I'm done.
  21. You're just putting you photo in a separate post ... Just type what you want to say and add the photo link before you hit post. Your car is looking fantastic .. the cutouts look just right! And, that's some smooth looking paint! Now, about your sewing club ... we sew here too! This is a link to a build here where I sewed a bean bag chair to go in a build of my daughter's van. You'll see it about halfway down the page. I'm happy to have you aboard.
  22. That's a great story and hope you get to build one that satisfies you ... the most important person when you build anything! Did you neighbor race at Riverside?
  23. It goes to show you, it's all in the details.
