  1. I've had a number of these lights ... articulating arm with magnifier .. and mine just broke apart the desk clamp, so this is just in time, Harry ,,, how does the arm move on your recommended light? The one I had always resisted movement and was difficult to get it right. Not smooth at all. I'm balking at another one with all the trouble I've had. Ones I've had probably were cheapos.
  2. Tailgate Parties are called Chin Spoiler Parties .. they can set our 15 courses at once!
  3. That looks like you could have made it in your 1:! shop, Rodney .. the welding looks great ... just the right look! Can I ask what you used for the ammo in the box? I know I'll be needing something like that soon ...

Always loved that car .. you did it right!
  5. This is a new online European based model magazine I ran into at the Automotive Model forum. It's free, take a look. Racecraft Automotive Modeling Magazine
  6. That's a good chop ... the roof lines look good. Interesting mid cuts in the roof.
  7. That's a tough one. What they are worth is what someone is willing to pay. You might try ebay to get an idea what individual kits are worth unbuilt.
  8. That looks pretty good to me. The shading comes through subtly.
  9. I really like this with the road use grime and shiney paint where everyone looks.
  10. OK .. everyone turn around ... Cranky's Castle is on fire!!
  11. The Zombies will never take America!
  12. Nice background job on that smoke, Mike! That is a dramatic shot.
  13. Very interesting building methods I seeing here!
  14. Isn't that what Eyegore is for????
  15. Got an Idea I was trying for a roof on my mouserod. I narrowed an old VW body to cover just the driver as I plan on a machine gun on the passenger side with that side plated over to close the interior.. Not sure I like the result. Maybe just use some screening over the driver and close off the passenger side. Would be interested in any comments as I contemplate this ...
  16. I'll jump in and maybe some others will jump in. You sound to be pretty well eqipped .. better than me. Sanding the body depends on how good a coat you get. It is recommend to sand between every coat I know and sounds like you are. I usually wait a week with enamals before doing anything else. Sould be much less with a dehydrator. As far as the compound syou have, I'd spray a spare body, or any chunl of plastic, and test them on it before doing a finished body. Not a lot of specific help, I know, but I'd say you pretty much got things right and can't go much wrong.
  17. The dio photos keep looking better and better. The cigar smoke one was a good effect and deserves more experimentation with it.
  18. Interesting that the later cars had only extra brake petals. I took driver's ed in high school in the early 60's and there WERE two steering wheels. I never noted the petals. They were some Ford or Chevy .. maybe small or mid size so 4 of use could fit in and take turns driving.
  19. Love that 49 body on this. ... great look!
  20. You are right, Ryan .. it is a Logitech. It was an alt cover for my mouse that I didn't use. Feel free to use the idea .. it's actually the theme of this to sue anything laying around anyway. Probably any old louse laying around might contribute a body fer nuthing ... mine did! I do have to find a better name .. but I have confidence it will come
  21. That dio works awesome, good Doctor! It works with that tree alley just right. It looks like srtaidht on with trees both sides and to the side as background works ... what a great spot.
  22. OK .. I'm stepping way out and going to start gettin gin on the fun! I've had a mouse cover sitting by my paint booth for years wanting to become a hot rod body .. and now I figure what we need is a POST APOCALYPSE Hot rod! I found an MPC Scorpian kit that I must have gotten off ebay that was built but had no paint. It has a VW Bug based chassis with an twin turbo motor that should suffice hanging out the rear. I'm just getting into the idea phase but did start fittin gthe chassis to the mouse cover. I also had a Longbow Apachie helicopter that can contribute armament and bits and pieces, but looks like I'll have to build some weapons myself. There's lots of ideas in this thread to use! The kit tires are nice and wide and the wheels are good for the look so they may siffice unless I come on some more aggressive ones. I love scarfing up household and garage items for a build, so this should be FUN!
  23. The BMF on one of those is enough to give praise .. looking good!
