  13. I don't know what camera you have and many new ones hide the numbers that equate to the old film days, High end camera DO still use these numbers so I will too. ISO probably should be low .. try 200 if you camera gives that. A few I'd probably leave what your cameras default is. ISO equates to what used to be film speed in film cameras .. the sensitivity of the film to light. Higher number is more sensitive . for low light photography. Sounds like you have f/ stops so use the highest your camera will allow .. it should be given as f22, f32 or such. Use the highest you can. This is depth of field .. the "length" of the area in focus. This is a small distance when close up and can be less than the length of your car .. so the higher the better. A high f stop closed down the lens so less light gets to the sensor/film so you MUST use a tripod. There are many reasonable ones available for small cameras. As with most camera accessories, the more you pay the better it usually is .. usually. Focus is also important and with all the auto-focus cameras this can be troublesome. You'll have to experiment with your camera to get it to focus where you want it. Typically the focus point on a 3/4 view is close to the windshield to get all the car in focus. Manual focus is the best way if your camera allows it. If your camera has a macro or closeup mode do us eit. Many of the above mentioned settings will be used. Hope this helps .. I thought I'd give MikeMc a break this time.
  14. That's not an easy roof to chop and come out good .. nice job!
  15. How many Ferrari's can one man have??? All are looking good.
  16. This is looking real good .. you're doing a great job on the weathering. The peeled paint on the top and the seats look like the real thing! You got some expert advice on the wiring, so just pick what you have the tools and desire to do. That picture hanging wire does look right as far a size goes, but it may be tough since is is pretty stiff. The recommended wrapping wire from Radio Shack is about a cheap as you can get is is the right size. Get white and color with a sharpie and it will last you for years.
  17. Oh no ..I'm caught! I have been sitting on this and my daughter has been saying exactly the same to me. I actually took a shot last Saturday and it didn't go well. What's holding me is finishing off the BMF on the windows .. my fingers aren't cooperating as they used to. I have to force myself again this week to take 10 deep breaths and go at it slowly. I know this is NOT beyond me yet. I am thinking once I get past this and going full hog on it I should start a new thread since this has been dead for so long. I would put a link here at the start but it will not be a hassle to new people t the build unless they want to go back. I DO appreciate the push, Roland!
  18. Definitely some meat to that!
  19. I have a Triumph TR4A on the bench that also needed a convertible boot . I ended up using the boot from a '51 Chevy as it was available and fit the area I needed. The width was cut down and now it's getting shaped with files and sandpaper. Not exactly a tutorial, but one way it got (getting) done. The page I linked shows the boot.
  20. This is how I work too .. why make a job out of reading new posts?
  21. Oh yeah, get the lead out!!
  22. I don't know, Charlie ... but 287 (in NJ) to 23 is good once you're down there. Thing is, my wife is from Patterson and bro-in-law is now in Wayne. I've spent 40 years going there from this end of MA and only way is NY Thruway and you get on 287 right off that. I've gone every way imaginable and unless you're on a scenic trip thruway is the way. Every other way takes more time. Why on earth would anyone go thru NYC if you don't live there? The diagonal thru Connecticut from your end doesn't do that much to save time since the route and roads stink. I grew up in Hartford so went that way to many times. I'd just take 84 to the NY Thruway to make best time. I'm not going to make it this year .. wife having a knee replacement and I'm her knee for a few weeks ehehe.
  23. The more I look, the more I believe those beautifully shaped rear fenders belong here than on the mixed up mess they came off of.
  24. The basic steps would be: 1. Pray you don't get audited! 2. Pray you don't get audited! 3.. Pray you don't get audited!
