  1. I've been to Sweden, but not Finland. Being in New England I know what you're talking about even though this is becoming a mild winter. We had 24" in October but hardly anything since. People here don't use snow tires much .. they think all season tires are all they need. I just watch .. and avoid .. then slide around. I was surprised to see you mention that the truck sdon't have snow tires. I asked the UPS guy why he walked up my steep driveway when delivering and he said they don't snow tires on their trucks for winter. I guess it's just the typical money thing .. let the insurance pay fo rthe crashes.
  2. Nice adea to space out the mounting of the magnetic rack to hold pilers ..
  3. Great story AND build! If we all could have another shot at our first builds.
  4. Beautiful job! That trailer is almost as long as her!
  5. Cool .. they beat Chevy with the idea.
  6. That shot upriver is almist frightening. Nicely done!
  7. wife's Subie Legacy's 91 and 95 and my '2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT All of these have required some modifications, some quite extensive such as filling 13 of the 23 windows in the VW bus to make a Kombi!
  8. continuing .. my '67 TR4A then there were five Porsche 924/944's .. '77, '81' 87 and 91 .. the '84 is missing yet. Dad's '92 Crown Vic
  9. You shouldn't have asked this with me in the house, Richard! I'm with Rodney in that this is what I love most ... building the cars I've owned. I'm fortunate in that many are available in kit form .. or near enough that a few mods are required. Hope you don't think I'm trying to steal your thread, but you asked!!! Just one photo each since I need some limits imposed on me. Many are still on the bench so will try to find something close to where it stands. My first car ... to be a 1951 Plymouth second one, '59 Chevy Impala a pile of VW's... .. both of these were my wife's my dad's '56 Kombi
  10. Even straight pipes can't compete with the loudness of those shirts.
  11. I got my "Chuck Less" issue after the other post, so just want to say how floored I was reading about Charlie Ryder's Gremlin Modified Stock! The photos just don't do it justice with all that scratchbuilt stuff .. the sign of a master builder I guess. I'd love to see more photos though . maybe here.
  12. That's why I loved ship models so much as a kid .. the black smoke was awesome when sailing across the local pond..
  13. It's said they are atomically sharpened ... does this mean they must be disposed at an approved Nuclear Disposal Factility?
  14. That's cool .. always loved these because the rear is so horrorifically cut off.
  15. I never bought a kit I didn't want to build .. no matter the cost!
  16. Masters of BMF! You all embarass me as I have a '59 that's been sitting forever just waiting bor me to get my toothpick and new exacto working. What makes it worst is it's the 2nd car I owned and was not a bit of trouble running,
  17. That paint came out spectacular! A beautiful build in all.
  18. Very interesting! ... don't see many of these built
  19. Sorry I can't offer any experience with this, but there was a recent thread asking the same thing.
