  1. The ford Taurus donated not only it's wheels but the front logo was torched off the front and welded into the Vic's front grill. This is just after the first coat of putty and sanding.
  2. now, that's COLOR!! .. looks great on the little wagon. Wonder what that roof hole was for originally?
  3. no tiny mirror glass could be a kid safe idea, but now you are gonna be in REAL trouble when he turns 16 and want a REAL one!!! Just the same, no age too young to barrage with auto images!! If his first words are "Vrooom, Vrooom!!" you know you succeeded.
  4. I'm doing a stock Crown Victoria that has a medium blue velour seats and door panel areas. Been thinking actual, very thin velour... if it exists or maybe some ribbon. Also some kind of texture paint. Has anyone done this or have any ideas?
  5. GREAT build!!!! that just looks SO right!!! I supposed that's all carbon fiber under the stealthy paint.....
  6. Even if pics are a bit phoney (sorry for that), it looks pretty clean ... love these out of the ordinary car builds. Those wheels look massively wide!
  7. Looking great! Addiction is good ehhe
  8. It's just too model looking. Those wheels have a problem.. liek someone messes with transparency in PS... an the floor is sure a diarama familiarity

  10. Somehow I missed this thread, but probably because you have more time on this forum than I ,,,!! Finally, someone with more time on something than I have ,, I feel SO young!!! L) I defiantly welcome you to the Hobby of Dreams. I started around your age when AMT first started .. with their Annual Dinosaur Kits .. that Triceratops with the chromed mulit-horns was a bugger to get right! .. but it was in the weeds when I channeled it's legs. I would have loved to have a place such as this in pre-internet days (1958 .. !!) to have contact with other modelers and camaraderie. My Mother's Engine Wiring Kit (sewing box) would have loved me more for it. Like everyone has said, build your dreams and bug the heck out of us for questions, questions and more questions,

    THE DON

Looking good! But, I see the Don likes to sit in the clouds. That will keep the boys in shape, though, with that large lift into the trunk.

    LowRoder

That paint defiantly has the requisite loudness .. but very good looking! The BMF side of my brain aches but I see yours is functioning well! Very nice build.
  13. That thing has got to leak oil like crazy with open rockers! the flywheel might be a problem fitting in a 1/6 Ferrari pretty amazing
  14. If I could see it, I'd comment. That glare off the paint is blinding me! That is just plain gorgeous! P.S. Congrats on NNL East!!! That was one beautiful automobile in person!!!
  15. They meant your original posted photos disappeared. Maybe you moved them on Photobucket?
  16. I should have KNOWN that ....

    '55 Chevy

    Beautiful job! That really pops!
  18. now, THAT is realistic wood! That oak bark is a fantastic decal application. Not using a setting solution was brilliant!!! And, how on earth did you get all those end decals with different number of rings? That REALLY is a nice stacking job .. looks very good.
  19. that's one clean looking build .. very nice!
  20. Congrats to all!!!! I'd love to see some pics, but Gregg's link isn't working. Stops at a page with options for thumbnails and other stuff. Doesn't look like my script blocker is doing it.. everything is allowed here. Is it just me?
  21. Those are pretty obvious sink holes. They are directly opposite the thicker mounting parts of the wing and not unusual for that condition .. thicker spots on the casting. Those are not you doing or anything that belongs there, I'm sure. I'd find it hard to believe anyone would put some holes in a wing like that unless there was some attachment there. They do look like pretty uniform sink holes. but that's not unusual either.. I hate to say it, but they will be very noticeable. It wouldn't be a big deal filling and repainting, but that always is a pain. It's always your call.. what you're shooting for and what makes you happy is ALWAYS Job #1. The trim on this one looks outstanding! .. edges are sharp as a razor!!
  22. The trailer looks like it BELONGS back there ... goes together well. That's no small hitch in back of a pickup, but it's dwarfed by the bus! ehehe Looking good
  23. Those are some serious sink holes on the wing. If that's the underside, they shouldn't be noticeable.
  24. Thanks for the great info! Funny, I had never looked closely at the decal sheet. For whatever reason, I was just assuming I'd have to make a pile of logo decals. All those markings you mention are there! That CV web site looks grand!!! Looks like it will be a fantastic resource ... thanks again. As a small update, the Taurus tires are too small in diameter to use. They are 17" wheels of a low profile variety and too wide to boot. The Vic tired are properly sized but need to cut over 1/16" out of the center to fit the Taurus wheels. Putting those on hold until I come up with a good way to do that cutting.. ehe
