  1. This looks like a US '56, but it was described as a '57.
  2. Squeezed off one more... maybe the Diamond Reo stands a chance too.
  3. That's one I'd like to build as well, along with the Turbo Titan and Ford's "Big Red".
  4. I've got an IH slant four in the works- If I keep creeping around this thread, it might get me motivated enough to get back at it.
  5. This is my "junkyard runner", build mostly from spares and cast-offs from other projects. It's been retrofitted with a Cat V8 and eventually will be paired up with a single axle flatbed trailer loaded down with scrap metal.
  6. '59 tractor is done- pics in Under Glass soon.
  7. Dave Labrava "Burnin' Rubber with Jimmy Carbone".
  8. "Stacks up" pretty well- this is the best White Freightliner DD I've seen in a long time.
  9. I actually used the straight-on front shot of that same truck as reference when I redid the grille.
  10. "Cool" might be a relative term, but I did spot this yesterday.
  11. It's not a joke if you need it explained to you.
  12. Moved the headlights just a little bit inboard, and added the small parking lamps.
  13. Good GAWD! I wouldn't mind having just 1% of that shelf space.
  14. The rollover wasn't planned- that was an accident. But it seemed like all the auto and truck manufacturers put on "thrill shows" like this to demonstrate their products from the late '40's onward.
  15. Who knew part of White Motor Company's engineering regimen was teaching cabovers how to breakdance? On a serious note, these are photographs from a White publicity event from 1949. And this just has to be one of the coolest photographs ever taken...
  16. Well... looks like my 1:16 Heller will sit around a little longer.
  17. Nice work on all of 'em. I especially like the pale green Merc.
  18. Call me a glutton for punishment Terry, but Road Boss #2 is on the docket for next year.
