  1. Ground to a halt for the time being.
  2. Love it!
  3. Just your typical, post-Apocalyptic, turbine-powered Gremlin. That's all.
  4. Just had a 'why did I buy this' moment with the AMT '76 Gremlin. As much as I like the 1:1 Gremlin, the deeper I dug into the AMT kit, the less I liked it. Still managed to make something out of it, but I doubt I'll be picking up another one any time soon.
  5. I'm still thinking you should paint it pink to match the plugs you put in the hood.
  6. Windshield doesn't fit particularly well, either- that's the only thing keeping me from installing the interior tub permanently right now.
  7. Awesome.
  8. Roger- you know you really have a gift for painting a vivid mental picture with words, right?
  9. Well, I'm working on it. Trouble is... would 35 psi in 1:25 scale be the same as 35 psi in 1:1?
  10. This is how I do it whenever I want to get rid of molded firewall wiring, or add wiring the kit lacks to begin with, and have always been happy with the results.
  11. I'm actually building this in another CBP, but I thought Cranky's Mad Gremlin couldn't be the only post-apoc Gremmie, so I'm whipping up a little somethin'.
  12. The post-apoc Gremmie rolls on...
  13. Here's how the Gremlin looked when I went to sleep at 6AM. Yeah, I think this'll work.
  14. LEGO Black Ops is still my favorite.
  15. I can vouch for that Gremlin modified chassis being a little bit hard to handle, but it looks like you did a fantastic job with it.
  16. I'll let you figure out where I'm going with this...
  17. Oh, I've got another Corvair powered Volksrod in the works... do NOT worry about that.
  18. Gentlemen...
  19. Always loved the metal axles passing through the engine block and/or oil pan on the older AMT and MPC kits. How unrealistic is that? "Noticed I had an oil spot under the car, and thought maybe I had a bad rear main seal. But I crawled under the car to look and there's this big, metal rod..."
  20. Mocked up the chassis/body/interior with the engine. So far, so good it seems. I did have to use the stock '72 manifolds, as none of the headers I had would fit the chassis. The trim is done, but I still need to do a little detail painting here and there. I sanded off the 442 badges on the quarters and decklid- they were really faintly engraved. I think I have some 442 decals laying around (Lindberg '67 kit, maybe?) so I can always add them later if I think the car looks naked without them. I DID leave that weird 'vinyl top' trim the kit seems to have, because I liked how it looked. Could not get the bumpers to fit much better than this, but I used to have a '66 Cutlass, and I don't recall the bumpers exactly hugging the body on that one, either. Need to touch up the chrome plating on them in spots, too. You might have noticed I kind of glossed over the interior- it is basically the Chevelle tub, with about four Olds parts grafted in. I also used the Chevelle seats and steering wheel. Interior is the least important part of a Pro Street car anyway, it's all about the tires and the powerplant, right?
  21. Oh,yes. The best of the Fox-era Mustangs were of the four-eye persuasion.
  22. The other thing is this- Norm's product line is just so unbelievably HUGE. That's why you won't see anybody but Norm himself carrying the entire line. I don't know if you've ever seen his catalog. It is very extensive, but even so, there are a few parts and transkits he sells which aren't even listed in it.
  23. I've questioned Testors judgement on the 'this subject is to old for us to produce in kit form' call. I don't really see how a tractor that was not even a decade old (at the time the kit was being planned) could be considered 'old'. Especially when you consider it came out roughly the same time as the smaller L series, and the fact that the L-700 itself was a few years old by the time IMC kitted it.
  24. Replicas & Miniatures Co of Maryland 317 Roosevelt Avenue S.W, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 410-768-3648 replmincomd@aol.com Some online retailers carry a few of his products, but nobody carries the full line. Best way with Norm is to go right to the source. Can't say enough good things about his products, and the man himself.
  25. Exposed- I never planned to run the hood on this one. Which worked to my advantage in the long haul- the hood in my kit was particularly poorly molded.
