  1. This is awesome! Nice work so far!
  2. Don't know how I missed this. That really came out nice man! I really like the color!
  3. Work has been slow on this one as I really had no idea what I wanted the finished car to look like. After browsing the decals at Slixx I decided on this paint scheme: I don't usually go for lots of graphics and stickers but I just loved the way this looked. Decals have been ordered along with a shorter injector hat. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but my drag builds are almost always shelf models. I only detail what you can see with the car sitting on the table. For me there is no point in wasting time and money on the bottom of the car when it will never be seen. I did some mock up and I ended up selecting the stance for this thing. It is really going to sit low. I am going to have to fab up some custom front struts/spindles to pull the stance off. If they end up looking lousy I'll sheet metal the engine bay to hide them. I also started on the cage/frame. I've never used this particular floor pan before and I had no other pieces to go with it so I am going to have to fab everything. Thanks for looking!!!
  4. I use solid Evergreen rod and bend it over a candle
  5. Magnificent build!!! Nice job!
  6. Still can't get over that paint job. Looks like it's still wet. Nice job
  7. This is an awesome concept for a build. I feel the Ross gibson engines are over priced. Use the engine you have. You can turn it into a pro mod engine pretty easily. Looking forward to seeing more of this build!!!!
  8. Cool Project, looking forward to seeing more!!!!
  9. That looks great! I love the deep dish wheels!!
  10. Tyrone!! Thank you so much for the hinge tutorial!! I finally pulled it off!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!
  11. Scott, all my builds are on my fotki page. If you wanna look here's the link: http://public.fotki.com/am73grand/ I may add some of them here at some point.
  12. Got some more work done on this one today. I made a new Cowl so I would have someplace to mount my door hinges: Using Tyrone's fantastic instructions I was finally able to hinge the doors so that they turn into the fenders!!! Thanks for looking and >>> Thank you TYRONE!!!!!!
  13. Love this build. It's really coming along nicely!
  14. Thanks Scott. I'm working on an AMC Hornet pro mod now. (I'll be placing an order next week for some of your parts). I've also got some commission builds I need to wrap up before the fall; a 1970 Bonneville Wagon a '69 Olds Vista Cruiser Master a '62 Tempest Convertible and a bust of H.P. Lovecraft. Once all these builds are wrapped up I'm planning on building a 1/350 Original series USS Enterprise. (That will be my winter project) I want to light it and do some custom mods. Thanks for asking!
  15. Killer work man. Thanks again for doing this step by step!
  16. Thanks guys! I did some work on this today. I was going to go with the Revell pro sportsman chassis but once I cut the doors out the floor was really short. That would have meant some serious slicing and dicing. I knew I had this floor pan in my parts box so I tried it. a little massaging with a sanding stick and a dremel and it fits great. That small gap at the firewall will become my door jamb/hinge area: The Lower control arms that were on this new chassis were way to long. I added a set from a warped Revell chassis. I have a Ross Gibson Ford motor laying about so I'm gonna raid it for parts, Blower and distributors. I also wanted to see what a taller injector hat would look like. Next up I'll be building the positive locator for the floor pan and then I'll start building hinges. Thanks for looking!!!
  17. Thanks everyone!!! I had a lot of fun with this build!
