  3. Thanks!!! The Vinyl top was made using the Testors 2 part system. I then painted it with Tamiya TS-15 Blue
  4. Thanks Charlie but, there are no plug wires in this, no driveshaft and the interior is empty behind the front seat. It's kind of a semi-curbside. It looks good enough for the shelf though!

  6. I use Testors Laquer primer in grey. It can be built up to fill in some of the imperfections. I like it alot!
  7. Slapped this one together in a matter of three weeks. I started with the Revell Custom Lowrider kit. I stretched it 30 scale inches and then converted it to a hearse This was a fun, low detail build just because it was October and I wanted to do something for Halloween. And here's what's under all that paint and chrome: Thanks for looking!
  8. Here's what I did, I found an MPC 76 Formula Promo kit and converted it to a Trans Am. Modelhaus sells the T/A fender vents. Everything else (Spoilers, Flares and shaker) came from an MPC Blackbird. The hardest part of the conversion was the hood. Starting with the Blackbird hood, I cut two grooves in it with a file to match the '76 headlights. I've done this twice and if you go slow you can make a convincing hood. This '75 T/A has a modified hood on it Here is the '76 Before paint: completed: I hope this helps!!

  20. After doing the '72 Vista Cruiser I was asked by Greg Wann to master one for him to cast in resin. I tried twice to make another '72 and messed them both up. They did not end up straight. After taking a break for a while I sat down and studied my notes on how I built the first one. It was then that I discovered I needed to build the body around the frame/interior. Not wanting to start a fourth '72 (Mainly because I was out of Johan and Revell bodies) I decided on a '69. I started this project around a year ago. I shelved it because I butchered the right rear quarter panel. After looking at it I was able to save the body. This is by no means first on my list of projects but it is far enough along that I can use it as a fill in while working on other stuff. Here's where I am at so far. Step one was to cut two '69 cutlass bodies in half. One body was cut at the rear door line and one was cut forward of the line to give me the proper wheelbase. Once the body was stretched I had to stretch the floor pan and chassis Once everything was stretched I popped the body on the frame. Then I sliced out the trunk lid and added a section of a cargo bed from an AMT El Camino. Here it is with the roof in place. Now it is time to blend everything and add all the trim. More coming soon!!!
