  1. Gorgeous build! Love the wheel/tire combo.
  2. Larry, the gauges are painted. The flash brings out the detail.
  3. So much awesome!!! I love this car!
  4. I've decided to use the new door panels and dash/console in the '77 Can Am I'll be building. This build is really a lesson in kit bashing. I'm not so much concerned with 100% accuracy as I am with having a cool looking build when I'm done. I used the dash and console out of an old "Superfly" Grand Prix. The lower door panels are from a Revell Buick Grand National, The steering wheel and front seats are from an MPC Ventura. The pedals, column and dash top are from a Revell '72 Cutlass. The grab bar is from a Revell '66 GTO. Paint is Tamiya Light Blue I also got a lot done on the engine. I used parts from several more kits for a well optioned engine bay. The engine is from a Revell '68 Firebird. Valve covers are modified units from the Revell '55 Chevy Pro Sportsman kit, Distributor is from Morgan Automotive Design, Main fan belts are from the '66 GTO. I added the A/C compressor from the '72 Cutlass with some aluminum pulleys and wire for a belt. Seeing as how this is a hot rod, full length headers were used from the Firebird. I've still got to add the MSD box, oil filter, carb, air filter and hoses. All if which will be added after the chassis and body are mated for the last time.
  5. Oh man......that's GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!
  6. This is AWESOME! I too love this movie. You're doing an amazing job on this build.
  7. Larry, Those door panels look GREAT! Can't wait to get them!
  8. The Revell "Pro Sportsman" chassis works fantastic for this car. You can use the chassis from any of the kits in the series. Here's how mine looks without the body on it.
  9. Incredible work so far! Looking forward to more!
  10. Very small update. The base color is on. It really came out great. Now I need to decide on the graphics. If I cannot decide I'll just leave it a single color and clear coat it. Thanks for looking!
  11. Those look excellent man!!!! Can't wait to get them!
  12. Here we are back again! The rear quarter windows in my 1:1 car were the full glass. I always wanted to add Chevy Laguna quarter windows to my car......so why not do it in scale. I started by drilling out the windows: Here's the Laguna windows from an old body I had kicking around: Cutting and splicing and here we are: I'm getting closer and closer to paint. Next will be adding some trim I sanded off and then the vinyl top trim. Thanks for looking!
  13. Beautiful build!!!!! That really came out nice....
  14. Where's the popcorn? This is gonna be good.....
