  1. I just called my uncle, he bought a new project a few days ago, a 68 mustang coupe, base model nothing really special, he found the following while stripping it down, • Glamour Photo of somebody named "Sheila". She's wearing a cowboy hat with a big feather like Richard Petty • Pay stubs from pizza hut (not Sheila's) • Gallon can of Bondo • Bunch of carburetor gaskets all glued together with indian head shellac • New Shocks (in trunk) • 10 pairs of safety glasses • About 250 pennies • 10 empty Winston packs • Big Chilton's shp manual on "all cars 1965 to 1982". I don't think so • Business card for some guy in Maryland that deals in parts for 79-82 Oldsmobiles (but why?) • Several more empty bottles of margerine vodka • Many many grease rags • Pair of "Vans" jogging shoes approx size 13 • Coffee can full of important bolts • 2 little bottles of Jack Daniels like they use on Airplanes. • Insurance notice telling the owner he didn't send enough money for his payment so they're cancelling the insurance and also want the rest of their money. • A brouchure about the Youth Program offered from the VFW • A couple of Japanese works of art • Army Reserve Training books • The front sway bar that has been cut in half with the "blue tip" wrench • Vegetation growing in the bottom of the doors • Old lottery tickets • Army Reserve decal stuck on the dash pad on the passenger side • Seller BUSTED both of the rear interior panels while trying to remove them. And they were good! Doh! • Headliner is covered with black fur material like that used to make velvet Elvis pictures • one C and one D battery • Remote from a Daewoo CD player (I bet Chester wonders where that got to) • Toby Keith "boomtown" tape • 1999 Newspaper • Pulltab collection • Form for Moms to volunteer to make Gingerbread men for 5th grade Christmas party. • Jesus air freshener • New transmission gasket • Blue industrial coveralls, size 38 extra wormy • Peter Pan glass from Burger King. • Handouts from self-esteem presentation at PTA • Laundry Detergent • Big ol' snake skin • Pacifier • keys • a home stereo in the back seat
  2. I remember while helping my cousin Ted gets parts for his project car opening the trunk of a '66 ford fairlane to find about 200 empty beer cans.
  3. Well what is it, one of the weirdest things I found in a local scrap yard, was a whole row of '85 Buick's, all missing the same things, there Headlights. not even fullsize Buicks, midsize sedans.
  4. Hi Toby truck looks great, I've got a set of mirrors from this kit if you want them, just send me a pm.
  5. Looks very good.
  6. Sounds very interesting Clay.
  7. Steve, as I mentioned in your WIP I'm doing the car Harry drove in first movie, allthough I've had to settle with using the Hobby Heaven kit which is a '70 not '68, anyway looks great, I watch the first two movies last night on TV
  8. oh ok thanks Marc to late for me though, I scratch built mine.
  9. Steve I just remembered you were doing this car, I'm doing Harry's first ride from Dirty Harry, the Dark blue '68 Ford, I'm using a Hobby Heaven ford kit, sadly it's the closest.
  10. Chuck seeing you nad other guys building customs has got me wanting to build one, I think I'm going to peruse your Fotoki and get some idea's. If it's ok with you.
  11. Jesse's trucks were MOSTLY '73-'75 F-100's with the occasional F250 thrown in
  12. Not yet anyway, I haven't done any scal replica's of the Dukes Vehicles yet. BVut you can bet mine will be just like the GL's and ETC used.
  13. You Guys are making me Jealous.
  14. I have seen them but those were not cars used on the shows. The ones above did double duty stunts and filming.
  15. Marty, I'm a truck guy, I'm a firebird guy, I normally dispise custom vehicles, but this one I can't keep my eyes off of, It's so cool, I hope you don't mind but I'm thinking of doing something similar on a '50 Chevy truck. but In Red. Or orange.
  16. Forgot to mention I'd LOVE to talk about F body second generation Pontiacs with you Marc.
  17. I know Mark, the only issue of the AMT/MPC '78 F body kit I don't have is the dealer promo. Which I'd love to find a decent example of, I've never seen this hood till otday, when I was browsing the bay and spotted it, it says that it's for the Revell '24th scale. If i had known this I wouldn't have spent my time building my own hood.
  18. Dave you are more than wrong here, WB's mechanics used everything including '68's, from 318-440's, column shifts to slap sticks, and dave's talkig about the tv series, the cars were everything from base models to SE's, and dave there were many shots of the engines. I can tell you straight out that WB's stunt men have reported that anytime there was a large jump a 440 car was used but the "Ski" cars(the ones that would go on two wheels) had 318's due to there lighter weight and besides power wasn't needed, GL's even wore diffrent colors and suspension parts at times. Diffrent cages, push bars etc. here the picture on the left shows a column shift here's some slap sticks and now engines
  19. I've been trying to get my uncle to sell me a set of 6 lug slotted mags he has for my truck, which is on 6 lug corvette style Rallye wheels, but he won't buge.
  20. Ok They look very close in scale though Steve.
  21. The missing link hood is for the Revell 1/24th scale kit not the AMT/MPC 1/25th scale kit.
  22. I've got one otta of a revell '57 Chevy.
