  3. well I'm building this car for 2 diffrent community builds. along the way I learned this: The base Z/28 package cost $328.10, and included the 302-ci engine, 3.73.1 rear axle, dual exhaust, and 15x6 stamped steel wheels on 7.35x14 nylon redline tires. Heavy-duty suspension, heavy-duty radiator, and special hood and "Deck" stripes. as for the name Z28 it's not like SS (Super Sport) or RS (Rally Sport) it was mearl them option code. GM stated horsepower ar 290HP, Car & Driver stated around 360 horsepower. around I also Deceided on Nantucket Blue with White body stripes, which I will paint using the decals to create the taped off area's. I'll be using the '95 AMT re-issue I have. The stock wheels and tires are gone so I'll ad some period Correct aftermarket wheels and tires. I primed it. I completed my interior and have started on the engine, I painted up the Thorque Thrust wheels,Started filling the seems of the valences, and detailed the grille & tailights. It's nice to build a kit mostly out of the box Nick
  4. Brandon, one question, Do we post our progress here or in a seperate topic. Nick
  5. Actually I agree with what Jared said: Charger '66-'87, although the later cars could barely hold the name Charger compared to there predecessors. And ’06- Present Mustang ’64 1/2- Present Camaro ’67-’02, ’10- Present
  6. Sounds like fun, sign me up for a '67 Z28, stock with the exception of the wheels/tires, but even they are period correct. Nick
  7. I use DOT 3 Brake fluid for automotive paints, Pinesol for nearly everything else and 91% alchol for prepaint kits. Nick
  8. Little more. Driveshafts (not pictured: rear driveshaft, it was still drying, after being painted) Mudflaps (no it's not a Canadian thing, EH Ernest Holmes Nick
  9. No you got the late 70's-80's aftermarket sytle wheels, I kept my Cragers and Keystones. got a bit done. I primed it. and spent all of yesterday looking through my Duplicolor collection trying to find the appropriate shade of blue, which I think I have. I completed my interior and have started on the engine, I painted up the Thorque Thrust wheels,Started filling the seems of the valences, and detailed the grille & tailights. 10. The wrecker is now on all 6. maybe it'll have a drivetrain by tommorow. I drilled, painted and sanded. Nick
  11. I actually looked at those ad's. now I wish I had bothered to follow up on them. Nick
  12. well I spent 2 hours this afternoon reading an information booklet from GM Heritage Center, I learned so much I can name you the 11 step painting process GM used for exterior paint. along the way I learned this: The base Z/28 package cost $328.10, and included the 302-ci engine, 3.73.1 rear axle, dual exhaust, and 15x6 stamped steel wheels on 7.35x14 nylon redline tires. I'll be using the '95 AMT re-issue I have. The stock wheels and tires are gone so I'll ad some period Correct aftermarket wheels and tires. Nick I might have some parts painted and in primer by tommorow.
  13. Well I think I may change my mind 1 last time and build a Chevy, I know I've got 30 Mopar Muscle kits and I gotta build the 1 Chevy muscle car I got, well If I don't build it for this build, I'll never build it. Trying to deceide weather I want to paint it Nantucket Blue or Butternut Yellow. Nick Edit:Put me down on the list for: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Edit #2:I won't start until I clear my bench a bit, it's got to many old pickups in the way. one's only in for a paint job, too bad my guys work so slow
  14. has Gone Fishin', Ice Fishin' that is.

  15. Glad to here things are doing better for Benjamin, Give him my best. Nick
  16. Looking great Mike, Man the Dodge in that video ran a 13.10 the first run Now that's a Dodge. Nick
  17. Dave I agree, I never really built Heavy Trucks, I was mostly into building Light duty trucks, mostly due to the cost of a big rig kit, But now with the lower prices I've purchased pretty well all of the reissues from AMT over the last or so, and I have to say from what I have already in my hands, I'm very pleased and am very grateful to Round 2 for their hard work. Nick Edit: I too have devoloped a preference for the AMT/ERTL/Round 2 trucks over the Revell/Monogram trucks.
  18. I was just thinking the same thing after seeing the GT 50% on the stripe Nick
  19. That's why I sent them an email thanking them for their reissues. Nick
  20. What about something like this. Or This? Or my favorite yet. Nick
  21. Just a side note I'm still here, just waiting for a '71 Charger to show so I can stuff it's interior and Drivetrain in a old '74 Plymouth me and my dad built many moons ago that needs a serious rebuild. Nick
  22. Steve the ones he has listed on Ebay actually still have the '72-'78 "Bulge" style hoods with the '79 Grille
  23. I beleive that one was posted in the "Tractor Trailer Community Build" Dave. Nick
  24. Got these from Dennis and from a member on here today. The '57 Black Widow, the 40th Anni Ford Truck combo and '64 Dodge 330 Came from Dennis, as it's shown directly below the 330 & Black Widow were sealed the Ford's are sealed inside, the GoldRush is a rebuilder, but has the full decal sheet and instructions, aswell as some parts on the tree's, the F350 Dually's came from the same member, and I added the tires, because the rig there going on would look kinda off with GoodYear GT Radials. Nick
  25. Might not have been Metallic, but it was definatley Dark red, A friend showed me one a while back. Nick
