  1. The frame, rear diff and front axle have been primered and painted.
  2. Yes indeed!I plan on making interior panels and painting them tan to match the seats.I decided not to remove the wheels/tires from the front axle and rear differential.I suspect they may be epoxied on and don't want to damage them.I wrapped them in plastic to avoid getting paint on them.
  3. Here are the fenders after the first coat of silver.
  4. I always use Fantastik spray cleaner.Put some in a container and soak for an hour or so and the chrome should dissolve without harming the plastic at all.
  5. Post more pics of the yellow coupe. It looks choice!
  6. Will do!I plan on adding silver trim around the body to match the fenders!
  7. Here it is after a few coats of paint(Don't worry about the flat sheen,it will receive several gloss coats after the paint has cured and been polished).
  8. While not my usual fare ,this Tamiya came out pretty well.
  9. OK!The seams have been dealt with!
  10. Looks good!I think a black-wash on the grille would make it look even better!
  11. Nice 'bird in Vitamin C orange!BTW The Black "Plymouth" decal should go on the rear quarter panels.
  12. Yes the Dual Cowl Phaeton is a nice body style also!
  13. It has pretty nasty ejector pin marks on the underside of the running boards and spare tire well that required grinding and puttying.thus
  14. After disassembly I noticed that the 2-piece body does not align perfectly and it would be necessary to grind the step down to correct the problem.
  15. AS I mentioned in the General section, I found this Hubley Packard for 2 bucks at a local flea market and decided to paint and add the missing parts.
  16. Couldn't believe it when he told me the price!I took it apart to prep for painting!
  17. I picked up this Hubley Diecast Packard today for 2 bucks at a local flea market. It is missing some parts (headlights, windshield frame glass, spare tire mirrors etc ) but the rest is complete but un-painted.I have an old Monogram Caddy that I can take the headlights and marker lights.PLans are to paint it Green with silver fenders. What do you think?
  18. I like the Ferrari Daytona!
  19. most of the time the body fits tightly to the chassis so no glue is necessary. On the rare occasion when this is not the case I use 2-part epoxy in contact areas and it does the trick.Works great for bumpers also!
  20. I have never smashed a model but i have had moments when I was tempted!i have yelled and cursed but managed to put it down and got back to it when I have a calmer state of mind which allows me to think of a solution to the problem.
