  1. Agree 100% as listed above, Thanks!
  2. Andy, to get a real nice polished aluminum look for your wheels, I'd recommend the Aluminum Plate metalizer, spray your part(s), let it dry for an hour, then buff it out with a old T-Shirt, it comes out real nice, I paint most of my stuff that way, painted a Galaxie Trailer floor/ramp with the Aluminum Plate, buffed it out & it came out great, 1 thing I noticed about the Aluminum Plate over the other metalizer paints, you HAVE to use either the sealer or clear coat it, the Aluminum Plate will rub off on your hands very easily, more so then the other metalizers I've used, also, it looks to me like the sealer will dull the shine a little, I'd use the clear coat over the Plate. Hope this helps somewhat.
  3. Don't see what you are disappointed about Andy, the Dart looks great to me, wish I could have built cars like that when I was your age (of course that was only a year or so ago, wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
  4. Looks good, I always enjoyed watching Eddie race.
  5. OOOOO-KKKKKK!,looks like a nice project there Brett, I'll have to keep an eye on this one, can a Cobra F/C be far behind (well, yeah, it can & more then likely will be! )
  6. Looking good, & whats planning ahead mean?, I don't see anything wrong there.
  7. It looks great Rom, the chassis, shocks & engine all look fantastic!,really enjoying the build & already can't wait to see what you do next!
  8. The paint came out fantastic!, I have this model & always wondered why the paint job the instructions gave didn't match any photo's I could find of this car, I'm still planning on painting mine the way the instructions say to, a dark blue/green (top of car) fading to a light blue (bottom of car).
  9. Went to a few car shows back when I lived in Fl., mainly in the '90's, went to shows at the local Flea Market (strange never found any fleas for sale, but that doesn't mean I didn't leave with some anyway!)the community college, & the State Fair Grounds in Tampa always saw some beautiful cars, even got to see the '58 Plymouth P/M "Christine" at the college car show, awesome car!
  10. I know exactly where you are coming from, while now I do try to just put it away & go back to it later, I at times find it very hard to do, I haven't destroyed anything in awhile (seems my cat Freckles "the Destroyer" will do that for me), but just a few years ago (around '05-'06), I put my fist up against my 1970 Roadrunner (forgot now what caused it)totally destroying the body, I was lucky enough, I do have another one, still in the box waiting to be built. I have a "long fuse" but it seems to burn fast !
  11. Of course!, even the truck looks nice!
  12. What I've never understood about this car is the color, the instructions & the color code on the Slixx decals says Dark Yellow, doesn't look any shade of yellow to me tho.
  13. It's looking good Brett, the fuel pump came out nice, waiting to see this one done.
  14. The blue looks pretty good Tyrone, really, the whole car looks good, always rnjoy seeing your builds.
  15. Looks pretty cool, doing some 1/16th Funny Cars sounds like a neat idea!
  16. Sorry to hear about the decals, still can't wait to see this 'bird when she's done!
  17. Thanks for the helpful advice Chris, as you can tell I am totally taking my time with these 2 builds as I haven't posted anything yet ,don't want to get frustrated, so just working on it when I can (as I mentioned to Brett, a case of Modelers ADD)hopefully I'll have some stuff to post in a week or so. Thanks again for the inspiration & words.
  18. Brett, Know what you mean by Modelers ADD, suffering from it myself, got most of my RoadHammer Hemi done (a little scratch-building to finish)for the Demon, started on the Next Generation Semi-Hemi for my "Mind Witch" build, part of my Witches Trilogy (Black Witch,Mind Witch & White Witch), but can't seem to work on any enough, sit there and say "do some work on one of them, any work, work on one for an hour", but nothing seems to get done, well, I am getting the paint scheme & pictures for the decals for the "Mind Witch" done but everything else is just taking sooooo long to get the gumption up for. Hopefully I'll get to work on some of it today & the upcomong weekend. Your Firebird is coming out nice.
  19. The rear wing struts came out nice!, Heck THE WHOLE CAR is coming out GREAT!
  20. Firebird is lookin' good Brett, like the paint so far, hope the decals work out this time. On a side note, hows the "Horsemen" coming along?
  21. When the time comes for me to get to that level of detailing for any of my builds, I just hope to have close to the same amount of patience you must have, I know of too many models I've had in the past that met the wall from across the room because of small problems (a certain '70 RoadRunner comes to mind, luckily I had another one thats still in the box), I'm planning on using modified pins as bolts for my P/M builds (valve covers, oil pans, manifolds & so on), hopefully now that I'm older, I'll have a little more patience. Love the build, can't wait to see more!
  22. The build is looking good Greg, thanks for all the inspiration1
  23. Looks like you are detailing this monster even more then your others, the nitrous valves & window handles look good, I'll have to add the same to my builds!
  24. Can't wait to see them built up Thumper!, I'll be using you chassis tutorial (plus pictures of a Duster P/M) for my Dodge Demon build (& my upcoming Witches Trilogy series).
