  1. The tires & wheels look great, I gotta get some of them Slixx decals for my P/X.
  2. It's coming out awesome Greg!, this build is going to be a monster!
  3. Nice build, I got this kit sitting in my room, also had the 1st one Revell made (the Yellow Car).
  4. Low-rider looks nice Romell, I once bought a 1/16th scale model of Jeb Allen's Revell "Praying Mantis" R/E dragster (I bought this model when it first came out back in the 70's, but like all my kits from back then, it's unfortunately long gone), it cost me around $64.00 from Model Express, one day I'll put it together (hopefully better then the first time LOL!)
  5. The shocks are looking good, enjoying this build!
  6. The engines are turning out nice Brett, can't wait to see them when they are done!
  7. Wow, THAT is exactly how "Disappearing" (formerly "King")James looked after the game heading to the losers room, oh, locker room. It was a great game & a great series.
  8. The valve covers came out nice Wayne, really, the WHOLE car is coming out great!
  9. mrmike, I 100% agree, the 1970 'Cuda was the best looking, always wondered why Plymouth went to duel headlights, the 'Cuda just doesn't look right, I was glad when for '72 & on they went back to the '70 look, it took a little while for me to get use to the round tail-lights (reminded me of a Camaro), but the '72's on were still better then the '71. I also have both models (unbuilt in their boxes) & I plan on doing the same thing.
  10. The Duster looks good Dillon, there's a lot of info on hooking up the fuel&oil lines, running the spark plug wires & such out on the web, the only thing I see that's off on your build (unless your building a nostalgia type of car)is the cars of the '70's (early-mid-late)didn't run the blower restraint belts, they came in during the '80's-'90's. All-in-all though, a realy nice build so far, the red paint came out nice!
  11. I saw that article by Drew also, & I will be "fishmouthing?" my P/X-P/M chassis's, great article!
  12. crazyjim, I don't even have the address of the storage place,LOL, my ex-brother-in-law is storing them for me until I can get the money to have them shipped here, pretty much all the models are Drag Cars (of course!)some are American Muscle Cars, lots of Revell's F/C's of the '70's, with Competition Resin's bodies to mount on the chassis's, all I know is it's somewhere around New Port Richey (I lived in Hudson).
  13. I have 31 sitting in my room right now, about 2 are started & waiting to be finished, 1 is in the process of being built now, I have about 4-5 boxes full in a storage shed here in Tucson & about 8-9 boxes in a storage shed in Fl.
  14. Pretty much any Pro-Stock,Pro-Mod or Top Sportsman model put out by Revell will have a 4-Link rear suspension, check out any of the builds by Tyrone Price, Wayne Stevens Jr., Clay Kemp & others, as I said if it's a P/S, P/M or T/S, it'll have a 4-Link, that way you will have a idea of what to do to build one.
  15. I think all of us enjoyed watching your first Pro-Mod build even more then you enjoyed doing it!, Congrats John, it's a great success!
  16. Joe, Welcome to the MCM Forum, hope you enjoy. I agree with Dr. Cranky, Tamiya spray paints are some of the best, I use their lacquer sprays, they are very forgiving & go on nice & smooth, as far as a workplace, the kitchen table works good, right now I'm using a cutting board on my bed, spray outside & brush in my room. Here in Tucson to warm the paint cans, I just set them on a concrete wall in the sun for about 2-3 minutes, warms them up real good! Enjoy the model building hobby!
  17. The Camaro is coming out good, I agree 100% with hOLMS, the bodywork is just superb!, the tires & wheels look good also.
  18. BEAUTIFUL!, the paint is just absolutely gorgeous!, the engine is fantastic!, simply put... AWESOME
  19. The Dart is excellent Wayne!, the black paint is super & the flames look real nice on it.
  20. I have the CR 1/16th scale Fuel Altered body (have had it for awhile now), plans on it are to shorten one of Revells F/C chassis's to fit & put a Ford 427 "Cammer" in it, I've got the chassis, body & the engine just have to make time to build it, Pro-Mods are taking all my time right now!
  21. I got some decals off a model just by using water, soap & a soft toothbrush, put soap on the toothbrush and brush it under warm running water, my decals came off easy with no damage to the paint.
  22. O-K, I'm waiting patiently to see more of this car. The engine you are working on looks pretty good. Keep it Up!
  23. The Jag turned out Beautiful, John, I have to say my favorite parts have to be the front end (nothing against the rest of the car mind you!), I just really like the silver & red, they go together beautifully!, also like the front & rear wheels.
  24. I just did some checking around & the only Gremlin F/C I could find was Lou Azar's "Funny Gremlin" (pictured above), I have a magazine article in an old issue of Drag Racing USA of a Mid-engined sidewinder Gremlin that was being built, but if it was ever completed I don't know (never heard about it again), if you want to try & build Lou's Gremlin F/C (AMT made a model of this car years ago) Model Express has decals for it, under the Billy Gooche Decals listing on page 2, Lou Azar's Funny Gremlin SKU-BG-135, it lists for $9.50. The decals should fit the body being as back then a lot of Model Companies used the stock bodies from their normal models with just the hood molded in to make it a one-piece body. I have this model with a set of BG's Funny Gremlin decals in storage back in Fl. (some day I'll get all my stuff here in Tucson!) Good Luck in your build!
