  1. Zukiholic iy has the Daytona nose cone as it is a Daytona Dodge but not a street racer more a street car/show pony/trailer queen but could be used as a salt lake racer as I'm into that as well. The motor will be revealed the day the whole motorhome, trailer and car build is finshed sorry guys you going to wait to wait a year for that. Dingo
  2. Anyone here from Oz the best country around, it may cost a bit to buy models here but at least we get some good stuff through the net. I hail from south of Adelaide in the state of South Australia. Dingo
  3. This little rig is made of cardstock and took me about 2 weeks to build, the tyres have tread that have been cut and glued to the rest of each wheel and each wheel is made of 4 parts. This is what the wheels look like before being assembled. Dingo
  4. Back when I was a kid in the late 50's my dad drove one of these little rigs delivery rolls of paper to the local newspaper printer, it was rather cold & wet in winter but he did not complain and got the job done. In the 60's it needed a new motor so it was fitted with a motor of that era rather than have it's original motor repaired. A replica of my Dad's 1926 Mack AC with rolls of paper on the back
  5. Nick, I use Luxon LED's because they stay cool being LED's they throw light out in front of the model meaning they look more like headlights, driving light & other froms of lighting and although not cheap are far better than grain of wheat globes which get hot and could cause damage to the plastic and paint work eventually. All my rally cars that have lights in them have Luxon LED's. Dingo
  6. My work stations past & present. Work station early 90's Work Station late 90's Work Station in 2008 Work Station now. Dingo
  7. My favourite piece of equipment is a sheet of glass from a 1940's Dodge truck that I found at a car dealership that I worked at during my school holidays back in the late 50's & early 60's when I was a kid, I asked the dealer principal if I could have it and he said it's "yours" and I have used it on my hobby desk and in other situtaions as well that did not involve model builder it's been invaluable and would hate to see it broken or lost. Dingo
  8. This heavy rescue truck is the old Bandag hauler it's load is a Cardstock (paper) race truck. Dingo
  9. This rig was built for a person who then didn't pick it up, I built to how to how this person wanted it (minus the cars) they belong to my son but after fining out they where not included this person vanished I eventually sold the model to recover cost. Dingo
  10. Thanks Kodiak, yea we did have talent back then but I like to think that the talent now is improving because the afteramrket gear is easier to get wher as back them we have to make it ourselves. Dingo
  11. Here is another one of my older truck models that I built back in the 80's with a tanker built in the 70's. Dingo
  12. Zukiholic with this rig sorry no but I do have other truck models and they will appear here as time goes on. Dingo
  13. This is a rig I made back in the 70's using the then Bandag Bandit kit I didn't go much for the drag truck so used it as a parts kit for this little rig. Photo taken using a Nikon EM 35mm camera fitted with a filter to get effect. Dingo

  15. I say model "the tyres aren't flat enough for the weight or the size of the vehicle besides the front springs also don't have a lot of sag in them either. Dingo
  16. Thanks Ron, but no cudos pn the VW motor as I said U'll have to wait until it's finished U can guess all ya want it ain't going to get it out of me. Dingo
  17. This is my major project for 2009/10 if it gets that far, It will be the Revell Cityliner turned into a motorhome towing a trailer with a small workshop and the Dodge Charger. Sorry no photo of Revell Cityliner as it's still in the shop on Layby (paying of every 2 weeks) The Charger was going to be fitted with the Allison Motor but it has changed. Dingo
  18. This Charger is part of my year long model building project and will be taking some time to build as well the engine is a secret and as I've said on other forums no amount of guessing will get me to tell you what will be under the bonnet (hood). The car is gloss black with a white interior BUT I'm not sure wot wheels to put n it as yet. Car does have boot lid now fitted. Dingo
