  1. Nick I know U'r dis-like for the new version of Na$car and I agree after wot they did to model builders, here in Oz 2 manufacturers tried to get their cars into the series but where knocked back (grounds unknown to me), the manufacturers where Mitsubishi using the '90s era Magna built as a rear wheel drive 5 liter V8 then of late Toyota using the Oz designed ?????? Avalon also a V8 the only difference between these 2 cars and the Ford & Holden was that both had quad cam motors where ford is a twincam per head and ofcourse the Holden still use the crappy single cam set-up, the governing body and the drivers committee both said no go I think Nick it was because they didn't like the idea of getting their butts kicked by Aussie built jap cars whcih ofcourse they're not. Now back to my queirry I'm only asking because I do have an older Nascar in my collection the '69 Dodge Charger Winged Warrior and I want to put a modern car along side it but I don't want to ussual type sitting there as it would look BORING. As for turning an Oz V8 supercar into a Na$car sorry Nick I would disgrace either car with that look even though I don't like Holden at all, anyway I'll jsut keep looking and thanks for the idea on the V8 Supercar Na$car. 2. I luv the combi outdoor radio rig & of course the cop who has pulled the young lady outside of the station, you R one talented guy whenit comes to dio's dave. dingo
  3. Well done Dave, the historic side of the town has finally come out and it looks terrific. Dingo
  4. I'm not into Nascar model building (I build rally cars) at all but after seeing a few on this forum and watching it on our new free to air sports channel. What I would like toknow is what kit would I use if I wanted to build a Toyota Camry as I do know that they don't make a car that size or with a V8 here in Oz. I'm not into Camry's but it would be different from all the Ford's, Chev's & other regular makes that are here on this fabulous forum. Dingo
  5. I'm not into building Nascar models but ths one is well done I like it and how it's been done, well done on a great job. Dingo
  6. I started this model about a month ago but it has now come to a stop as I have to wait for wheels for it. Some fo the things that are different are the cut down wing, the motor which will remain a secret until the final day of it's build and when it's placed into the major motorhome project that it's a part of. Other than these few things and some other stuff that's been done it's almost basicly stock box. Silver trim is done with a paint pen. Gauges are printed paper ones. Ready to recieve the motor, wheels and a few other bits & pieces. Dingo
  7. Nice one, um will have to hunt both the Renault & the Skoda down to add to my growing fleet of WRC/ARC cars. Dingo
  8. It has come to that time of year when my wife has gone into her ussual migraine attack period (she suffers from Cluster migraine headaches) and I put everything down to look after her so for a month or 2 I will missing in action like some of my older model cars & trucks but I will be back and sooner rather than later I hope, cheers for now. Dingo
  9. Nick, I spent the best part of my rallying years belting about the country side in the dark and loved every minute of it, whether it was the ARC (Australian Rally Championship) or the SARC (South Australian Rally Champs) a state based thing that taught me to drive at 9/10ths and I say that as I always had that 1/10th measure of safety built in if U could call it that. Rallying is in my blood and still is even at nearly 60 yrs old if I could get back out there and rally for fun man I'd do it, even now when I go for drives woth my wife I always pick back road and dirt tracks to have fun on I love it. Nick this is a model replica of my 70's car below. Dingo
  10. Hey Kevin Y do U think I ended up here coz I was removed from SAE (got ot right this time) and the fact that they didn't like me saying wot I flet about some of the model that I thought where crappie as for beginners & kids nah not really it contains some models that I couldn't see kids doing nor beginners for that. Dingo
  11. Fletch, in my bible (King James Version) it states that Christ was executed on Wednesday at 3pm (but he actually died some where between 4-5pm) was in the tomb for 3 days & 3 night then rose, BUT we won't go there as it's an imotive Catholic issue brought on by Simon the soucerer. Dingo
  12. SEA forum don't like the General Lee with the flag on the roof if U put it up they'll remove it, other than that they're OK haven't been on it for awhile now too many other forums and can't cope with them and my sick wife. Dingo
  13. Yea I agree with all that has been said and there are some good driver today BUT they're all woosie now and the reason is because they drive at that speed in braod daylight let them be a lot braver and like us old guys use to do it same speed at night and no I don't mean 1 hour after dark or 1/2 an hour before daylight I'm talkng about all night at those speeds that how the brave guys did it and I'm one of them. Yes I still watch the WRC and here in Australia the ARC but I would prefer it done at night OK it's not a TV thing but done right it could be, after all they don't show the whole rally now only aprts of it and only the top 3 or 4 drivers wot about the rest of the teams the little guy who get no TV coverage gets no story about how they're doing but struggles on anyway and makes their sponsor proud to shell out the money, bring back real rally driving not this pussy footing around in daylight. Dingo
  14. Nah all wrong, work out when Jesus died to when he rose. Dingo
  15. Another thing U could've done was dry sump it, it a thng dne a lot in motor racing to get the motor to sit lower in the bay and it works well with the oil reserviour sitting either in the cabin or the boot area. wot U've done works good as well good on ya. Dingo
  16. Thanks Chris yes it was a good thing to do, to my surprise only just last week one of her sons hunted me down and asked if I would like the model back as she has just passed away I said to the lad "no mate it was built as a tribute to your dad many years ago" it has now been presented to to local fire station as a tribute display to all firemen who have died fighting fires either cause by idiots or naturally. Dingo
  17. I might have been a bit fat but I could run and if I couldn't catch the flaming cat I'd bark at it and it would just die of fright, that's how loud my woof was. My name was Kramner (pronounced Kramer) I passed away in 1986 of cancer aged 6yrs 2 yrs before I died of cancer I almost drowned when I fell from the back of a boat on a river, I sank and didn't come back up for at least 30 seconds a long time for a dog under water, my owner Dingo thought he had lost me for good but no luck for him it took more than water to kill me in the end. WOOF. Dingo
  18. Yea 09owns, still building it the main problem is money at the moment, just don't have it. The guy who makes it up for me charges $20 a can. Don't wprry it'll get done one day. Dingo
  19. Dingo
  22. Man another one bits the dust, boy so sorry to hear that my friend job hope U pick up work real soon so U can keep building new kits, as for me if I loose my job the whole country is in trouble U see I'm on a pension looking after my wife and get paid by the Government, I'm a care provider for her U see. Hang in there and make it a job to find a job that's what they keep telling me so that's my advise to U. Dingo
  23. Zuk U'r absolutely right just because the traffic has stooped it doesn't give U the right to over take, it may only be a dog but it is a member of a family and if like me with 2 cats who R our children coz we can't have human kids it hurts when they die. This person should have done the right thing and stopped it make me so sad to hear that a family has lost it's little member of the family I hope the cop told the culprit what's what??. Dingo
